If you want to study philosophy at any point then do Greek. If you want to do one that no one will be able to call you out on if you make a word up in the middle, choose Greek.

Latin is more practical, probably has wider utility and will basically give you a much richer and broader understanding of english too because it served as the root of several terms we use now.

To impress chicks and scare off kids, I'd recommend Greek anyday. Speak Latin and youre a nerd, speak Greek and youre romantic.

Imagine being able to tell a kid (in Greek): "Madness? THIS IS SPARTA!" before you kick the crap out of him.

Quote from Tortuga
I'm not a dumbshit, i can read. I was inquiring as to how long have you been studying this, which you had just answered.

I didn't mean to insult your intelligence :( I apologize.

If you're reading the book I was I tried to go through one chapter a day and then study through the vocab for that chapter a few times that day. I was on spring break for most of it, so I had free time.

But there are also many philosophical works in latin, I mean, I can't think of any in particular besides Utopia but I'm sure there are bunches :D
