Weeeeeeeeeell, it's not really animation. It's probably a general section thread, although I expect it'll be dead within a few posts.

Personally I change the smoothing depending on what I'm doing with it, but usually have it above 70 because my mouse hand is unsteady. I animate with 400% zoom, but may go in closer if I'm drawing something detailed.

Biggest brush size at 200% for the head, a size lower and 400% for the body. Smoothing at 40 for everything.

Oh and zawmbee, the flash section is meant to be used to post flash animations, not flash topics in general

I never go into detail...EVER!
Anyway I use 400% zoom and a big brush size.

200% zooming. Sometimes, 100 smoothing but mostly use 50. Second biggest brush size for stick and smallest brush size when drawing particles and effects.

Now I animate on paper, shoot it, import it to flash, and trace it. more accuracy with pencil. When doing it purely in flash the zoom varies. mostly either 50, 200 or 400 to see it in all distances.

I use the smallest brush in flash. The bigger the brush the more noticeable the sloppy vector corrections are. No I'm not turning it down to 0 smoothing in properties either because that looks like HORSESHIT

I just use 100% zoom to make the head and make it a symbol, then zoom in 400% to make body and so. If its something detailed it's usually 800% to 2000% zoom and always use the biggest brush size for basic stuff and the detailed things just vary. :3
