I didn't seem to see this thread posted, but I didn't really check that hard. So, so I thought I'd just make a thread to discuss it as it's out in the near future. I've personally never played Monster Hunter before, but I'm so excited for this. Nintendo have actually done a lot to try and make this a success. Speaking with the team to create a new Classic Controller, ridding of Friend Codes for online play, making online play free for players in the US and Europe, and adding the Wii Speak feature. You can buy the game on its own, bundled with the new controller, or bundled with Wii Speak, the new Controller, and a limited edition figure.

Monster Hunter Tri is the 3rd console installment in the Monster Hunter series, released on August 1 2009 by Capcom. Early in development, the game was planned for PlayStation 3, but budget costs caused development to switch to Wii. Before release, a demo of Monster Hunter Tri was included with Japanese copies of Monster Hunter G. A special bundle was also released on release featuring the game bundled with a black Wii console and a Classic Controller Pro. On August 3, 2009, Capcom issued a press release confirming the game will be released in North America and Europe.

Yeah, I was never really a big player of the previous titles, but this seems to give me a reason to play my Wii again. I'll pick up a copy, hopefully.

Not sure how big their market's going to be on Wii. It's a very different kind of game to most of what you see on it. Looks good though.

Yeah, the majority of the Games I have on my Wii are all kinda 'party games', I suppose. It'll be nice to play a game that feels serious on the Wii.

Yeah, Red Steel 2 isn't cutting it for me. Metroid M and the new Zelda might just be the 'serious' games we're looking for.

i've played the previous monster hunter games on psp, the graphics are okay, but the storyline was crap, the controls were difficult, and it just threw you into the game, with hardly a tut. but i've never played one on a consol system, hopefully it'll be good, hopefully

P,S. I like your avatar zawmbee, did you make it or load it?
