Alright, so I've spent the last 30/40 minutes digging around various sites for a simple answer to a simple question.

How many damn Emergency Departments (or A&E) are there in the UK?

If you answer please post a link so I can cite it :)

There's a list of all of them here: http://www.drfosterhealth.co.uk/hospital-guide/full-hospital-list/ but it doesn't put a number on them. Would take to long to count, but I estimate 420 NHS ones and 250 private. That's very rough though.
