I gotta say i like the brush one better. The pencil one is just kinda stiff. One thing that ive figured out is that you never want your guy to be perfectly still for more than one frame, it makes it look artificial and unnatural. Although i guess that doesnt have much to do with the tool lol.
But the brush one seemed really good to me. The only thing is it really looked like the guy got hit by the beam, but didnt even flinch :P
