I was wondering if it was possible to cut out a sequence of a video, but instead of cutting out certain frames you could only cut out the background and keep the text. Like, I want the text in its animation form - with its transition but everything else removed. Is that possible? If anyone can do this tell me.

Its possible with softwares like Pinnacle, Combustion and Liquid I think. You need to be pretty well versed with masking too.

I wanted the bit where it says "One shot kill" to "Colleteral damage".

Just the text though, no background or gun. Is that possible? I want the transition how it appears and disappears, so Photoshop won't help.

You could always photoshop it and then transition that image.
