Gyo, what's your opinion?

I'm siding with the possibility that in the infinite expanse of the universe, and especially black holes, there are definitely faster-than-light particles. How are we not sure that the Universe is some sort of "Giant Lung", in which it expands for a period and then contracts, and then explodes outwards and expands, and then contracts?

This may seem stupid, but really, your guess is as good as mine; because this is what the debate has come down to: Guessing. So I won't try and bother to argue anyone's opinion.

I kind of think a similar thing. Imagine all stars in the Universe becoming black holes over time, black holes sucking each other up, all forming gigantic points of ultimate gravity eventually imploding the entire Universe, only for it to explode immediately afterwards and start everything over again.

that's why. There's only a finite amount of CHON (Carbon Hydrogen Oxygen Nitrogen) in the universe, and when a star dies out, it either supernovas, cools to a white dwarf or whatever the fuck.

Point being, you only really need one black hole to start this cycle. But when you have trillions of them, it doesn't take a genius to realize that a barrell with ten holes in it is going to leak itself empty faster than a barrel with one. Eventually, all black holes will collide and whatever. Maybe it's all the concentration of the elements they consumed that causes a super reaction.

HOREY SHET

Maybe, if that's true, and the matter in our universe is the same as the matter in the last (Law of Preservation of Matter) we could literally be breathing oxygen and nitrogen breathed by civilizations trillions of years in the past. Dude this is so fucking trippy.

All atoms from your left hand come from another star than the ones in your right hand.

what the fuck. Stars are made of the same materials, why would it matter where they came from?

pfft, I lost my steam now. I thought we were about to unlock the secrets of the universe.

I should seriously start smoking weed.

According to my uncle, whenever Marines confiscated an opium field, they'd call a disposal unit and smoke the fuck out of it.

how about if a hyper nova explodes. They can create black holes. In my opinion, We are going to travel through dimensions/time by using black holes.

Javelin, if the Universe had no beginning and we can go back in time infinitely, that must mean an infinite amount of time has passed.

Which is impossible, proving that the Universe must have a beginning.

What if it's like a circle, there's no beginning and no end, but it only feels like it's infinite, but your actually going over the same things again and again. aka, What if this coversation between us has happened before, each time we get wiped out, and there's a new big bang, what if everything evolves the same way?

I kinda get you but it might be like matter and anti-matter. We look and feel exactly the same but when we touch KABBBBBBBBBOOOOM GIGANTIC EXPLOSION! Maybe we will travel through dimensions and go to a planet and try to communicate with them. But we are like anti-matter and matter. We will explode and shit.

I think it's fair to say that everything in this thread is completely hypothetical.
I'm open to the idea that there may be some being outside of the restraints of time, that willed everything to be. But our knowledge of the universe is truly pathetic; there may be some other, brain explodingly complex, answer.

Before we went through a black hole, we'd still be crushed into nothingness before we went out the other side. I can't let you think that, Jim.
