Honestly, I think that most of the witch hunt texts and anti-homosexual texts were parts that were edited in by kings/high priests that had the power to change what the bible said as it was printed/published. If religion has any truth whatsoever, then a god who loved all his creations wouldn't have hypocrasy and violence scattered throughout all of Exodus.

Unless I'm wrong, most of the violence that happened in the Old Testament was humanity's own evil, and not God himself. I'm probably just not remembering something.
As for Hell, Im sure it doesn't say anywhere in the bible that they stay in that place for eternity. Hell, a toddler would be smarter than God if he chose to only "punish the sinners" for as long as they deserved, instead of making them burn for eternity because they sinned occasionally throughout life. If Hell exists, the people who get sent there don't go there for all of eternity. A single lifetime isn't enough time to do enough evil to stay in there for that long.

Calling BS on that. I'm pretty sure that the bible, in several places, emphasizes the wholte "BURN IN HELL FOR ETERNITY" idea.

I dunno. Even on some sites that are all like, "REPENT BECAUSE YOU'RE GONNA BURN IN HELL", trying to scare people into Christianity, don't post any quotes from the bible that say that the people go to hell forever.
There's a fuckload of verses in there though, so maybe I missed some.

The video I posted touches on this. There are plenty of verses that say the wicked will be thrown into eternal fire and whatnot (you can find them with a quick google search), but it only outright says "forever and ever" when talking about Satan's punishment.
