dew to an accident, my father completely fucked up my laptop screen and i cant see anything, so i use a separate monitor, i would like to know if theres a way to use a high resolution without my moniter saying "mode not supported".

I would say try to upgrade your drivers...
It might be because you do not have a graphics card, or a good one since you are using a laptop...

When I did a system recovery on my computer two weeks ago my resolution was fucked and blurry as shit until I updated my drivers. My computer wouldn't support more than 1600x1024 and I need 1920x1200 lol

It's like a extra screen for your computer. It has other uses as well but I won't bore you with the details :D
