Totem, while an entity of its own, depends on others to exist, like a parasite would. He possesses people's mind and becomes both their conscience and their ego, so its impossible for anyone to differentiate between their own will and Totem's. With a bit of time Totem earns complete control over their thoughts and memories.
The best way to describe Totem in one word would be: "Idea".
Abilities:
God-Sphere. In a 2-3 meter radius around him Totem can build, create, spawn or change anything.
Anything created inside the God-Sphere can work outside of it too if the laws of physics apply to it. If not, they crumble.
He can change his host at any given time, however, not anyone can think of Totem. *Specifications on weaknesses
Weaknesses:
Totem is a virus, he can't use his powers by his own, he needs a host. His powers are restricted by his host, both physically and mentally.
*Totem can't control more than one host at the same time.
In order for Totem to be able to take over your mind you must first have any sort of mental disorder or madness degree. Weak determination, doubts or insecurity will also allow Totem to take it.
Totem will use the power of words to weaken your resolve, once this has been achieved, there is no way of preventing it to enter your mind.
After entering your mind Totem takes the voice of your conscience and your ego. This stage can last for a minute or a month. Up until this point it's possible to repel Totem if you're is able to recover your will, determination, or able to solve your fears and doubts.
However mad or insane people are completely defenseless against Totem, they can't hold the idea back.
The third stage consists of the total control of your mind, Totem controls everything in your head, the previous "you" no longer exists. You can physically recognize someone in this stage because Totem manifests the ownership of the individual with any accessory. A ring, necklace, scarf, mask, glasses, or even a weapon. It depends on how the host interprets Totem.
If Totem leaves your mind in the second stage, there are no physical consequences. If he leaves it in the third stage the host will fall unconscious for several weeks. He recovers his previous self after waking up.
When he losses his host Totem ceases to exist… until someone thinks of him again.

Humans have always craved the powers of the Gods. And Gods have always been assholes. They took all those wishes and smelt them into Totem.
