So I started off a thread back in FA, and people really seemed to take to it. So here I port it to StickPage for continuation. :D



That's right! Freebie Friday is now at Stickpage! So if you haven't caught the grasp of it yet let me explain. Rival Stick Series is coming up for it's 10th year. Yes...unbelievable for those who have seen it on the first day it was released, we are 10 years older. ='( However it's 5th and last episode is also being worked on, and to celebrate that it's finally coming to an end, and to give Rival a little boost again after all these years I introduced FreebiesFriday!

So what can you expect from FreebieFriday? Here's the excert from FAnims.

Tutorials!
Need to learn something, but not sure how yet? Why not sit back and chill from a while and learn new techniques to aid you get better. Rival-Stick Series tutorials range from Minutes to hours! The longest tutorial at this point is in fact over 2 and a half hours!

A Usable Library of SWF Objects and Animation!
Want to have guns or sword in your animation? Haven't got time,patience or skill yet to create one and just want to move onto the good stuff? Well a library of objects would help! Im planning on making loads of stuff with some of the free time I have!

New Sound Effects!
Sound is half your animation, are you neglecting it? If so, then you're shooting yourself in the foot. Make your animations sound more dynamic with varied sound. Sounds I will be releasing will be hard to find, packed or even self recorded! With over 10 Years in accumalation in sounds, variety is a MUST!

References!
So what do I mean by references? This is simple! Have you ever imagined your stick from a certain angle but cant draw it? Or are you looking for an action pose but can't pin point it? Then you need references! I'm planning on having 3D Sticks that rotate seemlessly to help you visualise what it would be like to spin around them, or if you were to draw things at another angle. Real life has a 3rd dimension, even if youre animating in 2D your animations should have it too.

Soooo.

Got an Awesome exclusive. Deathfun has made a hillarious 51 Wav SoundPack for Rival FB. The sounds are really good for comical fights. But I can imagine using them in a comedy animation where I want the characters to talk, but not actually say words, then use text in the animation to interpret the dialogue. I can also see them being used for animals who have a personality.

I just saw the whole rival series for the first time. I was really impressed by the improved quality in part 4.
