I'd argue more strongly against the practice if it didn't take like 45 seconds to ban/unban members. I see where you're coming from but ultimately it places no burden on us and the only person affected by the action is the person being banned so it doesn't really matter.

For the record the Spam-o-matic should never be used in that way even if you have the ability to use it. It's specifically for handling spambots and I'm trusting you guys not to abuse that power or use it in a way outside of that without talking to me first. There are always reasonable exceptions but I would like to be informed just in case I also have a reason not to. Otherwise I agree that we shouldn't indulge that kind of request in this case. To be fair I did this only one other time as a personal favor to an old member, but in that case I don't think I fully deleted all the posts, they were soft deleted and their account was removed leaving the posts intact as guest posts. That way even if I needed to bring a post back for some reason it could still be salvaged. It was a lot of work that I don't want to do again, and I agree that Hewitt has too many consequential posts to warrant just wiping them out.

I wasn't being serious about it to be honest, it was more of a joking reference to the first time it happened to Hewitt when it did essentially what he's asking for now.

Not to be a buzzkill, but since Shadowkirby has been pretty inactive lately, could we move oxob to the RHG section? I've been handling things there when I notice them or they're reported, but I kinda wonder if I'm the best for the job. I'm hopefully not fucking up with it, but seeing somebody with more experience with RHG there might be a good thing. (I still luvs you Shadow baby, I just worry about people)

Oxob will probably disappear again after BSE ends unless he has said something that suggests otherwise. Not sure if I support replacing an inactive mod with potentially another.

We could probably insert you at least. As is, it kinda seems I've become temp RHG Mod (I'd say I'm exaggerating, but I get PMs like crazy lately from the new guys).

I haven't really been following up with the RHG section for the past year or more, so I think I would be a terrible choice honestly. We could get Zero if he's willing, I just don't think Oxob is a great idea no offense to him.
