Moderately hot girl (or guy, Fusion) (or guy, ladies (ha, as if we have ladies)), BUT she is a big fan of Justin Bieber. The question is, would you enter into a relationship with said female?
In this situation Bieber is being used to represent any music which leads you to disrespect the listener. If you're the kind of person who thinks all metalheads are idiots, for example, you could substitute Amon Amarth.
This is an important and pertinent question. I need rational answers, people.
Question for you. Yes, you.

I honestly wouldn't really care.
Not unless she disregarded the fact you hated Justin Bieber, and blasted his music on the radio anyways. But music taste is a small thing for me.

Well of course not, because once I joined the relationship she would obviously idolize me. Durr
To be perfectly rational though, I wouldn't care. Justin Beiber isn't a disease to where if you like him, you are going to keel over and die. He is just a teen popstar who got famous and is considered attractive by some teenage females or he is envied by some teenage males. If said 'hot girl' likes Justin Bieber then good for her. Who am I to judge her music tastes.
Edit* You both have shiny purple names :/ I feel unworthy to post here.

Go for it. If she's worth keeping she'll just not play him around you.

I would not. Not because I care about her musical preference, it's just that I don't settle for "moderately hot".

i wouldn't enter a relationship regardless of their musical tastes

I would not enter a relationship with a man who listened to Justin Bieber, and there are a couple reasons why.
First of all, I have never met a particularly intelligent person who listened to JB, so they are probably not smart enough for me to have intense conversations with. If we can't get into arguments over things that only smart people would give a shit about, then I don't want them. It would never work out.
Second, Justin Bieber himself is a stupid idiot who doesn't understand the world, and anyone who could enjoy music by such an ignorant person is not for me.
Third, anyone who could like music by a teenage boy who tries to be gangsta and sings about heartbreak and stuff is probably as feminine or more so than me, and that's not my type.
Also I feel so special that you made an exception just for me. I didn't know I was that relevant.

If she's decent in other ways, then go for it. Judging people by their tastes in things is hard to resist, but it's dumb when it comes down to it.

This is along the lines of what I'm thinking. Music taste alone is obviously not a deal-breaker, but it's what the music taste implies. But I don't know if I can really draw such generalisations right off the bat.

If a guy could convince me that he listened to Justin Bieber and was also worth my time then I wouldn't not date him just because he listened to Jay Beebs.
Feb 23, 2012 1:20 AM #607067
absolutely not. i am totally incompatible with anybody who doesn't listen to what is actually able to be considered music. to me musical taste is a huge indicator of mental capacity and/or state of mind, and that to me means that this girl is either really fucking dumb or 11 years old.

Get your own explanation, poser.

i wouldn't mind if a chick enjoyed the beebs, cause personally i don't really care about him, or hate him. hes just doing what anyone would do if they were justin beiber. but if she was obsessed, then probably not, i'd rather not listen to my cousins music all the time.. or.. often.. .. or at all.. hmm..

Sometimes you have to stick your toes in the pool before you dive in. To make sure that the temperature is just right, and that you aren't jumping into a pool of lava.
If shit doesn't work out it doesn't work out bro. Once you hang around her enough you will probably gain an acceptance or maybe even a liking towards some of her favorite music and songs. She in return might do the same with your favorite genre of music.
Now if you're driving her somewhere, you are the driver and have control over what you listen to. I don't like letting people fuck with my tunes while I'm driving lol.
The same thing happened to me when I started dating my girlfriend. She likes Justin Beiber so I was like "OMFG Are you serious that's fucking gay".
Honestly I've listened to some of his songs, the only one I can stand to listen to is the first 30 seconds or so of Next to You :/ I personally feel like all of his songs sound the same, and he doesn't have a deep understanding as to what he is singing about. He's just a young kid with some highly paid writers and music lessons.
I wouldn't let someone's musical tastes be the determining factor of a relationship. Now if you two disagreed on everything and she was rather unintelligent, then that in itself is a turn off.
I don't care how hot someone is, if I know they're dirt stupid, I would feel insulted for fucking them...
