The only defense I've seen of the "Wikipedia sucks" argument is that "anyone can edit it". As if the website is completely unregulated.
That's exactly what people say when I use it in an argument. I'll say something to backup my point, and they'll be like "where did you get that info?", I'll sense the shitstorm incoming and say "wikipedia", and they'll be all like "you do know that even I could edit that if I wanted, right?". Thing is, even if I say it's moderated they'll just be like "hurr durr maybe it's been overlooked by the mods, maybe someone only just edited it".
