This is something that I don't look forward to at all. But I did like the show when I was a kid (my dad had a bunch of old cassettes of the show). The movie looks like they just took the name and completely changed everything else....looks really weird.

Yeah, looking back, the show was pretty ****ing repetetive, but I was like seven, what did I care.

@DoD; lol I suppose it was, but still, its a kids show. It didn't take much to grab my attention when I was a kid. And besides back then I wasn't allowed to watch more popular shows like power rangers or pokemon because power rangers was "violent" and pokemon "promoted gambling" [those were my parents excuses] So I was stuck with shows like Speed Racer and Johnny Quest...

Looks like it'll be very entertaining. It has the same attitude of the anime, albeit with a bit more color.

It'll be an exciting movie, but it isn't gonna blow anyone away with a deep plot or anything.

Eh, so far, it does look rather cheaply done.
I got to see shots of their Green Screen studio, and from the lack of real equipment and the 10-20 second demo clip I saw, it looks like they're half-assing a lot of effects.

But hell, it was put out a long time ago.
I dunno.

But I will say, that yeah, your rant really lacked anything solid, Jet.

Coolest movie ever, if you cut out the stupid ****ing scenes with the monkey and the kid.
I'd say the racing parts made up for it though.

As long as you don't have epilepsy, and don't mind some seriously cheesy acting, I'd recommend it.

I loved the cartoon as a kid. It looks like the movie is full of fail, though.
