I still don't like it very much here...

Especially since we are warmly welcomed with kind names like FAgs...
Honestly when I was at FA I felt like we were getting things accomplished... here... the forums are great but nothing rly gets done... therefore I prefer FA.. as stated in my sig:

FA forever...

The reason Kitsune has been saying such things is because of this post.
Your reasoning for disliking it here is well, dumb. You don't like being called an FAg?
Jeff didn't mind the phrase, he actually came up with a few of his own for us. It isn't our fault that you choose to take things to offense over the internet.
Quit your whining and accept the wind of change. If Stone didn't think it was a good idea he would not have done it. The merge is going to be very beneficial to all of the community animators here and bring a hell of a lot more traffic to the site.
This whole transition is a process. It's like moving from one house to another. We just opened the door on the moving truck, and we're waiting on Stone to start putting everything in order. Have patience and be optimistic. Your ideas are skewed because you have this idea that fluidanims was the shit and nothing will be better than it because you liked FA a lot. There's nothing wrong with that, but instead of bashing this place because you do not fit right in with the community yet, invite some of your friends to be more active on the forums. You have to understand that FA was primarily an animating community, we were not. FA was full of a more younger userbase, where our userbase was full of more mature and intelligent individuals. It's nothing personal, it's just the way it is. By the end of this school semester, everything will be in order and FA will most likely be shut down. Until then, be patient.

Shit >_>

Quik, I really thought you were more mature then this. Accept that change has happened, and try to make the best of it. So just Remember what 4chan has taught us, the internet isint a democracy and also the fact that no one cares.

I understand where you are coming at...

I am not whining... I have accepted the merge a long time ago... I learned there is nothing I can do about this whole situation... the world doesn't change for me... I honestly just never felt welcomed in stickpage...

You animate? We don't rly give a shit...

You love stick figuring? Who fucking cares?

You have dreams? Get in line...

That's generally the reception I get and that's generally how I see FA members get treated on stickpage... in FA if you made a good animation you were damn near a rockstar, here it's just kinda cool but nothing obsess about... honestly I don't think FA and SP were meant to merge... FA is more of constructional criticism network that was animation related, SP is kinda like a chat/debate forum that has the occasional animations...

But I am not gonna judge Stone's choice... it isn't and never was my call...

I say FA forever because though the site itself will die and rot away in my heart it will always remain my old animation home...

Sorry if I sound like a bitch, just really miss home...

So yeah... I'll stfu now... just had to let that one out...

I don't know how you can say you're not whining, considering how whiny this is. There is no "welcoming" anywhere on the internet. If nobody knows who you are then nobody has any reason to even react to the fact that you're here, let alone go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable here.

If you don't like it here, leave. This is just a silly little forum, dude, this community exists solely because a large enough group of people have free time that they enjoy spending here. Stop sounding like a poor, helpless victim just because a forum you liked merged with one you're not very fond of. It happened, it's done, either get over it and give this place a chance or go spend your free time doing something other than being a part of a community you openly admit to not liking.

After being here for 6 years it's a little jarring having a completely separate community hop on board, moderate our forums, etc., but I'm still here and I'm not bitching about it as if it's something I have to "accept". It's one thing to not like this community, but it's another to stick around and bitch to the people who do like it here, just because you choose to waste your free time acting miserable online.

This forum has an animation section. Nothing is stopping you from sharing your animations with the members here who care about that sort of thing. All you're doing is complaining that people who don't animate don't give a shit about your animations. Why do you expect them to?

This place definitely isn't focused on animation but if the FA community that merged over wants to discuss animation, we have several sections dedicated to it. I don't know what else you want. If you're just pissed that the majority of the forum doesn't really think you're special, well, get used to it kid. That's sort of how life works.

I usually don't say stuff like this, but that you just said is mere bullshit.

if you came to Stickpage forums with ''dreams'' of be treated like an animation ''rockstar'' by making a good animation get in line, work hard and maybe. You said that Fluidanims was a ''constructional criticism network that was animation related'' I don't know how a critique can be constructive if it sounds like this: dope as hell, omg you are awesome!. etc. that ones that makes you fell like a rockstar, I say this because I have been lurking FA forums and most of the stuff I saw was this and the anim was nothing special, if someone tells you that your anim was ''epic'' or the most ''sexy'' thig he ever saw and you know your animation is just some stick moving around and kicking crap I would be disappointed, I prefer a person that tell me what im doing wrong and occasionally telling me if something was good, the FA forums was animation related, yea thats right, but most of the animations that I saw in FA forums were the same copy of the great animation of the momment and with this people want to be acclaimed, be looking for the the big idea insted of copy your favorite animator style.

Here in stickpage we will tell you the truth, the few people that say something that worth be said, if this makes you fell like we are against your dreams is not our problem, we are just sincere, so have fun.

I don't take part in the chat/debate section nearly as much as animation. The activity level and advancement of a community is completely determined by how much the people in the community want to help eachother out and post. It doesn't have to be 'occasional animations' if you post there all the time and post on everyone's threads all the time.

for me its like fa changed its look, for a template that makes my eyes bleed.
and the group that was dedicated to flame stupidity grew in numbers.
And about the "dope as hell, omg you are awesome!. etc." i don't know if we arrived with those, or you already had people like that here.

no hidro thats what I saw in FA, and here some people too but a lot of the users in this community doesn't care if there is someone at the other side of the computer who will feel hurt by some sarcastic or realistic comment, the comment that made quik makes me think that he only wants some idolize feedback, I like being told what I do is great but nothing to be obsessed about.
After the merge very few people posted in the animation section I'm glad FA users are coming here I like to criticize and being criticized, the incomers brought some life at least in the animation section

Holy shit seriously guys. Have you not noticed this guy?

Quit fucking complaining about not getting tons of feedback from a vast amount of users. Honestly it's better to know what you can do better with an animation rather than know its impressive.

I think some people want to go back to having mindless drones tell them any shit they release is "pretty good lolz!". Rarely do I see critiques from people on FA that's actually helpful. Most of it is just one or two sentences with something like "That was pretty epic but a little wobbly lol, keep trying", which doesn't give the artist anything to work with. I try to make lengthy critiques in the art section from time to time, so hopefully other people will too, but I don't think anybody caught on to that.

Browse through the art section on FA and see how many good critiques you can find.

If you look in the flash section here now you might find some :3

But yeah that kinda surprises me. I thought all of this pride in FA was based off of people getting really great feedback all the time and they had reasons to believe that FA was just better for advice/artistic development than SP. Maybe they just liked the comments and got more from the big community. I remember going on once and getting responses like 'needs more style' which I didn't really get. I forgot why I stopped going actually.

Zed used to do that, but has now stopped, if I remember correctly, I think he said that people were half ingoring them becasue they were boring to read or something and that people didn't learn from that. Something along those lines.
