SO, I GOT A YOUTUBE. ReelaxAnims straight up. But seriously guys, I could use all the support I can get. And I was wondering, is there anyway to upload flash files to youtube (.swf) without a screen recorder?

Is this the topic of your thread? If this was just to blog about your account/advertise it, then it either goes in link of the day or the trash can

I think the topic was the question, at least for the purpose it serves in this thread.

Youtube doesn't support .SWF, but you can find a free '.SWF to .FLV' converter.
F.e, just download from http://www.convertswftoflv.com/

If you have an animated movie clip, exporting it to "avi" won't work properly. That's why most people prefer screen capture's,
but it really isn't that hard, "camstudio" is free and easy to download.

This is an issue that affects me quite a lot. I have yet to find a .swf converter that converts perfectly. If it's not laggy, it's terrible quality. If it's not terrible quality, there's no sound. If there is sound, there's a massive watermark. And the list goes on. I have yet to find a free software that converts properly/cleanly. Also, my computer isn't really very good, so recording a .swf playing with a screen capturer (is that a word?) that takes up any CPU isn't viable, as it records any laggy playback.

If anyone has a real solution to this, or is able to convert stuff from Flash 8 to a high quality .mp4 or something similar, let me know. You will gain a friend!

ok then heres what you do.

-copy all of the frames you have in the movie clip.
-paste them in a new layer on the root timeline (the original one that isnt in your movie clip)
-delete the movie clip
-loop the frames and move them around as needed on the timeline. If you want the looped animation to move across the screen or something then you'll have to just manually animate it, which with the arrow tool shouldn't take that long.

There might be a faster way to do this but this is the way I got my movies to be AVIs.

I know it's a pain in the ass to move shit around but it shouldn't take that long and it's the only way to make an AVI without searching for a codec that probably sucks in other ways.

In general you shouldn't use movie clips unless you're doing something for web design and games. It makes problems like this and filters aren't worth the trouble imo.

Thats the same way i used to do it. I actually used movie clips alot, just because i usually had alot of animated static objects, like flickering lights and whatnot.
