I don't know who else has this, but people are using the word "troll" incorrectly constantly in my area.

Andy Dick came to my school and had some thing for his new movie Division 3. I asked him some convoluted question about how many shots it took to get the naked ballsack teabagging scene just right. Andy dick then said I was high and probably needed to get high with me in order to answer the question. I responded by offering. He's sadly sober.

Some guy I know from the internet then approached me and said "dude you got so trolled"

"wat"

"dude andy dick man he so totally trolled your face"

Some people use the word wrong just to meta-troll, but I'm pretty sure this guy isn't that clever.

Also there's shit like this:

I cringe every single time I hear one of my friends say it. Fuck, I've even heard my father use it.

i think if trolling is done correctly, it's actually quite brilliant. especially if you can out-troll the troller or the person who claimed he trolled you.

you're completely right, the word troll is used so incorrectly these days i just don't bother using it

the worst kinds of people are the kinds of people that go 'i am a troll', i really dislike those kinds of people. although i still enjoy hearing someone go 'problem?' after deliberately winding someone up

and i really get mad when i'm mega-trolled by someone using the word troll incorrectly accidentally, because i totally know that what they set out to do wasn't troll me by using the word troll incorrectly but they are still going to claim that's what they were trying to do, makes me so mad

I think it's slightly annoying but I haven't been exposed to people who have overly used the word to the point where it becomes unbearably obnoxious.

Recently there's been an overabundance of recycled 4chan/Reddit humor on Facebook, causing memes to become familiar to the common person. I think this is contributing to the problem.

That is the good kind of trolling. I don't care about negative trolls.

I think actual trolling is fucking great. There's this huge misconception that trolling is basically lying or flaming. The kid who made the comic in the first post thought elmer fudd was trolling bugs bunny.
