Has anyone watched a LoL tournament? They seem really dull, it's like watching 'soccer' or something, I played LoL a bit but I'm not so sure about MOBA games now, it just seems like they have a ridiculously low skill ceiling, maybe I'm wrong.

i went to mlg providence during the summer and checked out the little LoL corner they had. it was pretty exciting because of the fans.
the gameplay itself isn't exciting until the teamfight phase which is around the middle, the beginning is all farming and isn't too interesting, but a lot of skill is required to farm correctly

i haven't played any other MOBA games but the general concept behind LoL is that it's an easy game to pick up, but a pretty hard game to be GOOD at. the way the matchmaking/elo system works is that you'll generally be paired with people around your skill level, which on paper would result in an even matchup

if you really wanted to play against people that do nothing but rape your shit you'd have to prove yourself against scrubs basically

the beginning is fun if you're the jungler

early game, i'm a fairly fast tanky bruiser, with fast slowing attacks, ganking utility (knockup and silence) and a true damage nuke every 40 seconds.

late game, i'm even faster and tankier, deal ridiculous melee damage, and can use a skill combo of rupture + scream + basic attack (+lich bane proc) + feast + basic attack (+lich bane proc) to nuke for what i added up to be 3867 mixed damage (1180 physical + 1701 magic damage + 986 true damage).

i jungle with smite and ghost (ghost into lane and eat a guy with low health -> the best)
