I don't understand why High School DxD is a popular manga. I mean I know some completely rational guys who normally ignore fanservice love the hell out of that manga. I read literally five chapters and said fuck it. The manga's amount of fanservice makes me want to throw up.

Almost there, the fanservice at the manga is almost the same as the anime, cuz the anime has MORE fanservice, besides: "I don't understand why High School DxD is a popular manga."

Cuz my friend, people now just want to watch fanservice, erotic shits instead of watch the series for the backstory, just for the "PLOT" people reads/watches it, i recommend you read the light novel, im reading it right now and the drama there is getting great, people dont read the manga for the story, just for the fanservice there...

Some people enjoy being teased more than getting the full deal. So they read or watch ecchi for the "plot" rather than just giving in and watching actual hentai. Which is a shame because there are some ecchi series out there with real plots that are actually very interesting

Well, I think The Violinist of Hamelin is a brilliant and underrated gem among comedy/action-adventure manga. It incorporates music into everything, and the comedy actually covers up some pretty harsh scenarios that you don't realize are so bad until later on.

Maken-Ki! (Hard ecchi) - Fanservice much but i liked it, season two of these series are already out
Seikon no Qwaser (Hard Ecchi and some Gore) - Quite awesome cuz the story and stuff, the main character sucks tits to get powers (which is just wat)
High School DxD (Hard Ecchi and Shonen) - Dont liked it, but if you are interested of it, is about demons.
To Love Ru (Ecchi but mostly Harem) - Pretty nice one IMO
Sora no Otoshimono (a bit Ecchi but Comedy and Slice of Life) - I think you watched it, so i wont say anything
Freezing (Ecchi and Shonen) - Liked the drama only
Kore wa Zombie desu ka? (Ecchi and Shonen) - I think you watched this one too, no comments.
Sekirei (Ecchi and some Shonen) - Probably watched that too, no coments.

I never watched any of this lmfao.

I'm just a casual viewer, so I've only completed a few anime.

I give it a year and then, one of us, one of us, one of us.

Yokkyun and the Nightmare's Navel
The World God Only Knows and Yumekui Merry
Now Open for Rating/discussion

As always, if you are so inclined, rate and discuss the above titles. If you've seen any of the previous titles (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Summer Wars, 11eyes, Another, or Cowboy Bebop) and haven't done a rating yet, it would be much appreciated if you threw a number or two my way. Bebop still hasn't received a rating, which blows my mind, and Jin-Roh seems to have swept under the radar (it's an amazing movie, it's a must watch for anyone who enjoyed Akira or Ghost in the Shell).

I'm pretty close to replacing s-CRY-ed, so I'm taking nominations. I'm considering using .hack//sign (submitted by Azure) or Eureka Seven (submitted by Raptor) but I would like to hear everyone's thoughts and all that jazz.

Current Scores:
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei - 10 -
Summer Wars - 7.5 -
11eyes - 7.5 -
Another - 8 -
Cowboy Bebop - NA -
Zetsuen no Tempest - 8.5 - 8.5
Jin-Roh - NA -
The World God Only Knows - 9.5 - 9 -
Yumekui Merry - 8.5 -

Maybe in the summer break.

If it'll ever happen, it will happen this summer break.
