Death note is a detective story about an ambitious guy with a book that kills people if you write their name down on it, and who wants to kill every criminal in the world with it. There is also a detective trying to find him, without revealing his name to him to avoid getting killed.
A really great detective story and one of my personal favorites.

I think there are like 30 something episodes
