It's not particularly good, but it's not particularly bad. It has some nice concepts for a war show but nothing game changing and for some reason it just seems anticlimactic and lacks any flare, the angst at times is also kinda annoying.

Denki-Gan no Honya-san

First, Denki-Gan no Honya-san is as slice of life as you can get. In other words, don't expect a plot. Second, the image above pretty much is the tone for the entire series. I think a perfect description of Denki is that it's a nice blend of hilarity and "the fuck" moments mixed into one show. It's so weird sometimes that you just can't help but laugh. It's not a show meant for using your brain, it's show that's made to make you laugh and have a good time. And I think that's a great thing
Terra Formars

If you hate what they did with Tokyo Ghoul with the whole censorship thing, your probably going to have a bad time. At the very least though, Terra Formars captures the original style and tone much better than Tokyo Ghoul did though there are some notable flaws while watching the show. It is very pretty and the OST isn't bad, so aside from the censorship there's nothing completely absurd. Yet. If your completely new to the show, as long as the censorship doesn't bother you, you may enjoy the kind of concept that Terra Formars brings to the plate, since it does have a relatively original plot and is very action heavy. If you did read the manga, I'm calling into question the pacing of this show and how they're going to fit the back story of the first two Mars missions, which are vital in understanding the story.
World Trigger

So far, the anime is just like the manga, which I suppose is a good thing. Unlike Tokyo Ghoul and Terra Formars, World Trigger isn't really a violent anime at all, so you don't have to worry about censorship getting in the way. Truth be told I never really liked the manga all that much, it sets up a somewhat interesting premise, but I think the pacing of the story is a bit weird and off. This issue may be remedied (or worsened) in the anime, so we'll see how it turns out. It's also fairly shounen, but not to the extent of Fairy Tail or something. It's one of those common "oh, aliens, let's develop a teenage military force" sort of anime.
Grisaria no Kajitsu

Like, how do I explain this? I know there's only been one episode so far, but I'm getting really negative vibes from it. It's animation style is kind of weird, especially since it contrasts largely with the characters themselves. And the characters are very, uh, typical? I mean they're not very original in terms of personality, but they seem to mix a lot of personalities into one character sometimes, and it kind of creates someone that's a bit weird and off-putting. And of course this anime has the typical bad-ass black haired girl who plays some kind of pivotal role in the anime. The MC also looks boring as fuck to. Not really sure what to say to be honest. Approach with cautious optimism. Or possibly not at all.
Orenchi no Furo Jijou

This is a short series, so instead of the typical 20 minute or so episodes this is only three to five minutes long or something. And I can't say much since it's episode 1 was all exposition. I was hoping this would be a full series, but I guess not (it's based on a manga I never read). The premise is interesting and the humor is sort of kind of there, so I guess it's best to keep one eye open for this one.
Parasyte - the maxim

If you know manga well, then you probably should know Parasyte. And if you know Parasyte, you probably know it's pretty fucking good. Parasyte is pretty bloody, but thankfully for the most part it isn't censored. There are some few aesthetic changes and some weirdly paced stuff in the first episode, but aside from that, the anime is fairly truthful to the source, which is a very good thing. If you haven't read the manga, despite all the gore, it's much more of a coming of age story than it is about action. It's also surprisingly cute. Hope this goes longer than 12 episodes, because they will fuck this up if they squeeze it in.

I was really, really disappointed with this first episode. And as a huge fan of the Visual Novel I can honestly say it felt like a huge slap in the face. It's hard to say exactly why but It didn't feel Grisaia-y enough. It lacked the glorious charm that the Visual Novel had. And while I wasn't happy with the first episode. I'm still sticking around in the hopes that it'll get better, and even if it stays bad. I'm sure I'll watch to the end since I do really love the Visual Novel.
My worst fear is that it'll become just another generic harem romcom. Since the Visual Novel had multiple routes. It'd be difficult to go down all of them in the series' 13 episodes.

Apologies for not getting a great gif, but it was hard considering that I could mostly only put up footage from the last season.
For those who watched the first season: yay, it's still pretty good! They introduced a new interesting cast of characters, and it's set up in episode 1 is pretty great. Already you have the theme of conflicting viewpoints being established, and Akane's convictions and methods are finally solidified. It's set itself at a nice pace, but hopefully it doesn't get too bland after making itself feel comfortable.
If you haven't watched the first season, what are you still doing here. Go watch it.
Sora no Method

I'm getting some Anohana vibes from this one. It's more or less a fantasy story mixed with the rediscovery over your past childhood. It's throws down a lot of subtle questions that will more likely than not be answered in future episodes, but so far it's mostly been setting up for the actual story. The first episode is slightly overwhelming since nothing but everything happens. I guess I can't really say much until the next episode comes out, but I see nothing glaringly wrong about this one. It definitely gives a more melancholy vibe than that of, say, squid girl or something despite sort of the chibi almost moe like characters
Nanatsu no Taizai

So if you're into manga and you haven't heard of Nanatsu no Taizai, then you probably live under a rock. Basically Nanatsu no Taizai is the second coming of Fairy Tail, except with a cast that I find more interesting and action that's as stupidly ridiculous as DBZ. So I guess in that regard it's better? I dunno. So far it's faithful to the manga, so I believe my claims are still accurate. In case it wasn't clear already, yes this is very shounen.
Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis

So I'll be the first to say that this anime is my introduction to the MAPPA studio's works, and I'll just say that after watching this a whole season of the usual anime style, MAPPA's art style is very refreshing. Honestly, if you told me this was animated by a western studio, I probably would've believed you. It starts off really over the top in the beginning, but it kind of levels out in the middle. It's very fast-paced and throws you into the action immediately, so the impression I'm getting is that it's a less talking more actioning type of anime, and I like that. If I didn't mention it before, the art style is just beautiful and colorful, and I'm glad this is what my first MAPPA studio work will be.
Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken

So like the mermaid anime, this one is also a three minute short series. It kind of doesn't really stand out much and is overall not that attractive. But eh, it's three minutes.
Garo - The Animation

So this is also made by MAPPA, and while it is very pretty, I haven't got the same kind of vibe that I got from Shingeki no Bahamut. The cast of characters is kind of interesting, but overall the plot is kind of typical, where you have the outlawed protagonist versus the noble protagonist and obvious evil sidelines character is obvious. But it's good for what it's worth and it's still very well-animated, so won't be in a Hall of Fame, I still think it has the potential to be enjoyable.

If the anime follows the manga faithfully (which it seems to be doing a good job of so far), then this may very well be one of your star anime shows this season. The manga hasn't finished yet, but so far it's a very interesting romantic story that deals with the life of a piano prodigy and his meeting with another musician. I can't really say much other than hope that they don't fuck this up. The manga also had a bit of pacing problems, so hopefully this one doesn't overdramatize the protagonists emotions, which it has done so far once or twice in the anime already.
Amagi Brilliant Park

So this is the anime that I decided to keep my eye on. Despite having a somewhat typical male/female pair, I still think it sets up a very interesting premise. Mix in an arrogant yet socially inept male character who uses his past to solve the problems of a messed up amusement park, I think it so far demonstrates a story line that promotes a feeling of progression and coming of age while not mixing in feelings of sentimental shounen bullshit to solve its own problems. If you don't know what I mean, just watch it. I really like how it's set up so far, and apparently the studio has a good reputation. Yay.

From what I've seen, VN's make for pretty disappointing anime, especially those that initially set up to be somewhat promising, Clannad S1 being my prime example. As a more relatable example, Dangan Ronpa was a terrible anime, but the VN/game itself was pretty fucking awesome.
