Sigh, pretty much most anime just barely scratches the surface of its anime anyway. So I wouldn't be surprised.

on the contrary I'd say all anime explore the entirety of its anime

You mean of manga? I'd generally disagree, mostly because most anime don't even cover the entirety of a manga anyways.

Since I dropped season 1, this probably means I'll actually watch it this time. I feel bad for not watching it fully since a lot of people have it as their favorite anime.

Is this what everyone's talking about? I didn't know it was only a six episode OVA. I guess this is a good excuse to watch it now.

How do you drop a 6-episode anime lmaooo. I mean, I remember hating it, but it was just 6 episodes so I just pushed through and hoped everything would make more sense as it neared the end (it didn't). But I'm pretty sure the reason I hated it is because I watched it on a shitty stream with shit quality, added to the fact that I really hated coming-of-edge stories back when I watched it (I still kinda do, but maybe to a lesser extent now iunno). I've read a lot of the write-ups about it though, and realized that I missed a lot of the symbolism in there, so maybe a rewatch would change my mind.

The thing about FLCL is that it isn't supposed to be a completely coherent story or anything, it's comedy almost to the point of self aware parody at times.

Well I only watched 2 episodes, but it was one of the first anime I watched so I watched it dubbed(the dub was awful.) I found it boring and just wanted to move on to other anime so I dropped it very early on.
