Hypothetical: If you were to make any book/TV show/Video game into an anime, what would it be

As long as they don't pull what the movies did, that would probably be interesting to watch. Super cliche aside from all the western influence, but I'd watch it.
shitman, I don't read books though, at least not as much as I did before, books require a level of free time that I don't have, otherwise they'd be cutting into anime/manga time you feel me
but maybe like the Templar trilogy? That might be interesting
I just don't watch TV at all, so I've got nothing there
same with games

Oi oi, did you guys heard the news? Dragon ball is back after 18 fucking years! Apperantly this July they're starting a new anime adaptation (Toriyama is part of it, therefore it was confrimed to be CANNON). It will be set serveral years after the defeat of Buu (it's still unknown whether it'll be after or before the 2 movies).

I don't know about you guys, but for me, a guy who grew up with Dragon ball, that's fucking HUGE.

Haha, SNAFU is really good with satire, I'm liking it a lot so far. I'm glad it keeps the spirit of what made the original so good, though certain scenes seem a bit more melodramatic than they need to be imo.

Yeah they upped the angst this season by a lot, but that might just be a biproduct of the animation being more expressive, I'm sure the first season would have been the same if they had the option. Man, the hand gesture thing was really funny to me though

Yeah, that was what I was referring to as well. It was really well-done scene for a lot of reasons. It's probably one of the better explicit examples of the shows' satire.

I don't really like the melodramatic bits too much, it kind of reminds me of why I didn't like a good chunk of Your Lie in April.

Which melodramatic bits are you talking about, cus I haven't encountered anything that was absolutely cringe yet, but I did have a few scenes, like you, that I thought could have went without the extra drama

I have been keeping this to myself until now but Log Horizon's season 2 destroyed Log Horizon.

Yeah those are exactly the scenes that came to mind when you brought it up. I really didn't like the way that first one played out, it felt really forced, but I can forgive it because I understand why they were trying to establish tension between those characters. The second one I think we could have probably done without
Speaking of which, thoughts in the events of the most recent episode
