Hey guys, I need some support.
My birthday is coming and I'd like a new PC as present. But I don't know which take, since there are too many!
Can you suggest me which one to take? Especially one good for running flash and programs like unity.

A Mac is better, but it can't run exe files unless its running on bootcamp.

How the hell should we know what you want? Do you need something portable? Do you prefer Windows or Mac? There's no "right" answer here.

Don't be lazy. Figure out what you want most out of a computer, then look into models that have the specs necessary to do it. It takes a few hours of Google and some common sense.

I was just asking others who animate which, in their opinion, is a good computer for animating and programming. Please don't be so aggressive: nobody is against nobody.

I'm not really being aggressive. Blunt, maybe, but I just don't see any reason to tip-toe around offending someone when I reply to a dumb comment. Seriously, you asked us if you should get a laptop or a PC, how do you expect us to answer that? It's completely up to you and what you plan on using it for.

If you want a computer mostly to animate with, then check your animation program's recommended specifications and make sure your computer meets or exceeds them.

I don't see my comment as a offence, more like a raccomandation. About laptops, I wanted to know if a PC has generally better features than laptops.

The specifications thing you wrote is quite useful

A desktop computer is a great workstation, I would choose it over a laptop since it's much easier to upgrade through time with newer hardware without having to buy a whole new computer.
Macs are a matter of preference I guess. I'd suggest using windows though, especially if you're already used to working on a windows computer, since macs needs adjusting to(they're quite different) and windows supports much more of the software out there.
As Arch-Angel said, good processor and good memory is good for programs like Flash and Photoshop. If you want to use unity I highly recommend getting at least a fair graphics card.
If you do choose to buy a laptop, try to buy a really good one, so it'll last you through the years and the software upgrades. Again, if you plan to work with unity try to get a laptop with a fair graphics card and not just an on-board one.

Good luck making the right choice for you :3

I would get a laptop over a PC just so you arnt stuck to working on your stuff in one place, you can move around the house, or go to someone elses house and still work. If you do that, get a Clevo from Mythlogic. They all have discrete GPUs (not on-board), and you choose what GPU, CPU, memory, etc you want when you order. Also if you get it from Mythlogic you can send it back later for them to upgrade whatever components you want, including the GPUs. There's cheaper models then the ones i mentioned before, i just tend to be one of those 'go big or gtfo' guys.
