Ao Oni (blue demon in Japanese...) is a RPG set up in a haunted mansion where a mysterious monster lurks...
these 4 dumbass teens hear this rumor and decide to check it out (surprise surprise... -_-'), and finally enter...
When they enter they find out they are mysteriously locked in the house (more fucking surprise! cuz we didn't see that coming...) and notice that the rumor was true and the monster aims to kill each and everyone of them (NO SHIT!!!!) ...

So basically you play as a scarfed douche and try to escape the mansion while solving inconveniently place puzzles and also avoid that scary ass purple pedo who wants to rape you and wear your hair...

Well, I remember playing through the beginning of the game a while ago after a friend recommended it to me but it didn't hold my interest very long because I'm not a big fan of retro/indy games. Though I have to say that the way the encounters are set up are pretty damn scary. Also that face... THAT FACE...

Maybe it's just me, but holy shit this is scary. Especially for a game this simple.
FUCK that blue monster. He isn't a scripted event that happens or appears whenever you do a specific thing. He's constantly roaming through the house, looking for you. You never know when to expect him to pop through a door that you were just about to go into, startling the shit out of you, and its hard as fuck to run away.
I once hid in a cupboard in an attempt to hide, but after a moment of darkness it peeked through and found me.

This is fun.
