My views:

~9/11 was not an inside job(thank you exhilement) but was the result of hatred induced by the United States of America illegally occupying middle eastern countries like Iran for over seventy years.

~If our government was truly concerned with national defense rather than imperialism, then wouldn't it be easier to successfully achieve national security by bringing our troops home to defend our borders rather than having aggressive pre-mediated attacks on the accused?

~Our Foreign Diplomacy--isn't, and needs complete revision.

~Being a police force should not be a priority.

please discuss fairly! :)

Be more specific- what things in particular do you dislike about the foreign diplomacy practices of the U.S. government?

well, for one thing, we gave CIA grade training and weapons to Al Qaeda to support their war against Russia who were illegally occupying Afghanistan, not only that, we've thrown out palistinians from Israel and put in the "rightful owners" of Israel, not only that, but we gave those rightful owners GUNS to persuade the palistinians to stay away. We build fences to keep illegal mexicans from crossing the border so they don't "take our jobs" (bull shit, getting paid one cent an hour to break your back in one hundred degree whether isn't a job, it's slavery) yet at the same time we've had the CIA making mass amount of profit through cocaine trade with the mexican drug cartel..... I guess there aren't issues with that?

Mexican immigrants work for more money than that, and 100 degree weather is rare. I understand that you are using hyperbole, but when you compare the actual numbers it is not that spectacular. And what is the issue with building fences to keep out people who are trying to come into the country illegally?
I'm gonna need a citation or two on the CIA participating in large amounts of drug trade.

He's exaggerating but the conditions are still fucking horrible, less than $10,000 a year for doing back-breaking work for up to 14 hours a day with no overtime. And 100+ degree weather isn't rare in the areas of the US that employ those workers.

C'mon, you've played the "google it" card on me before: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CIA_drug_trafficking

US foreign diplomacy seems to be focused on power and money more than anything. I really wish we'd focus more on our own country, we have the labor force and technology to be an incredible nation in every way. It's such a waste.

I feel the same. we've fucked over a lot of countries over the years with out even giving them a reach around, yet so many have wondered why other countries hate us, yet when I question the morality of how our system works, I'm called crazy for mistrusting our government, and when I state my beliefs about homosexuality and war, I'm called a Liberal Conservative Extremist. I hate that so much. I don't give a fuck about political affiliations anymore, I feel that both parties have been infiltrated and corrupted to continue a conquest for empire.

Technological advancements only come around if they can be applied in war situations

Loosening up the immigration system wouldn't hurt. I know you hate people linking to Cracked articles in debates, but I think a first-hand account of the system is relevant and I'm sure there would be other similar examples if I could be bothered to look. Immigration is massively beneficial to an economy - it gives you inexpensive labour, increasing both demand and output. It balances out an ageing population. They take less resources for education than growing workers domestically. Population growth is considered important to aiding the development of a country, which is why Singapore has programmes dedicated to helping single couples meet in the hope that they'll have babies. The only reason it's protected against is the prejudice of ill-informed voters.

It's all I have to say on US foreign policy, and I'd say the same of the UK.

I read the whole thing an I was laughing the whole time. I mean, I knew the immigration system was really shitty, but this sheds light on stuff my Civics teacher never mentioned. I don't doubt anything in that article, and Ive never been against mexicans crossing the border, let them fucking cross. our ancestors weren't put through a naturalization system by the native americans, but instead were given corn. I do disapprove that both the native americans and english settlers resolved their differences by killing each other

only thing is, america, math/ technology wise, is ranked pretty low. There was a bill pushed a while back that allowed the government to give away US naturalization, and pay foreign immigrants that specialized in physics, software development, and advanced engineering to fill holes in companies like microsoft, apple, and oracle.

so, even though it would be cheaper labor concerning they don't ask about their wages, and they take less educational resources, how is it moral to boost the economy at the obvious suffering, or perverse exploitation of others? not only that, why promote illegal immigration for a populace(like our selves) that isn't willing/ able to improve the health of the industries I had discussed in the above paragraph. I mean, the majority of our own citizens aren't capable or are unwilling to go into those industries, so why add more to it?

I feel that actually further substantiates the fact that we need to improve our foreign diplomacy. That naturalization shit seems more frustrating than the DMV on a busy day.
