I was looking a little in Stickpage who was online and I found the member list.
There are 2723 pages of 30 members each one, so, making a moltiplication, there would be 81690 members.
But that's incorrect, since the ones truly online stop at the 60th page (those with at least 10 posts).
This means that there are only near 1800 members online (not counting those who have just come), resulting for near 79890 people who just signed up and then didn't care about all of this anymore.
Said so, I'd like to ask something
-Is it possible to cancel all those abbandoned accounts? If it's not, why?
-What do you think we should do to make people understand that if they start an account here they cannot simply forget about it and, in this way, leaving it like trash? Or do you think we shouldn't do anything?

Stone has set up a perk where if you want a username of an account who hasn't been on since say: 2008
he's able to give you that name, though I don't know how it entirely works, whether or not it deletes the old accounts.
Though this really isn't a problem.
(Btw, work on your spelling.)

I know, it's just that I still like Italian too much :)
About the problem, I'm not an expert of computers or internet and I don't know if removing them will benefit to something or not (if someone knows something about this, could he inform me?)
Still, Xero, do you think we should in a certain way try to motivate others to be present?

We clean out the dead accounts once every couple of years or so.
Incidentally, if you scroll down to the bottom of the index it tells you exactly how many members there are. 82,300 at the time of this posting.

I created some statistics a while back, these figures were accurate as of April 18th
Obviously there's been over a thousand new members since this data was collected!
StickPage has a community of 80942 members.
Of all of StickPage's members, 4530 of them has one post or more, of all the users that join 6% of them post.
Of all of StickPage's members, 1170 of them has more than 100 posts, of all the users that join 1.4% of them stay active.
Obviously there's been over a thousand new members since this data was collected!

Of course, if you discount adbots our membership numbers shift a decimal point.

this quite discourage me: I hate people who abandon things half-way done (I'd say I also hate myself :3)
About member numbers and account deleting we got a point; now, do you think we should try to motivate them? If yes, how?

I don't really care if everyone who makes an account stays. If they don't have the effort to do it on their own, I see no reason to try and motivate them.

I thought that if we're able to make something of special and original maybe they'll find the effort to continue this; the problem is that I don't know what we could do
