My view is quite simple. Every single thing that happens to me, even the horrible stuff, is good. In the future, at some point down the line, it will benefit me.
I wasn't fast enough to do well at sport in junior school? Who cares? I poured my effort into my work, and now I'm doing well in high school; Kids might have been mean to me when i was younger, but no matter how bad that may have been at the time, it motivated me to be better.

Now, of course i have no evidence to say the world is designed in order to make me happy (which is basically the central claim my idea revolves around) however by keeping that world view, I am made happy. It's a good view to have.

and Exilment, your sig is amazing :P

Positive outlook in life brings you on top of every life's circumstances. Sometimes just like you did, you accepted the fact that there are negative sides of everybody's eye the good thing is you turn negative things into positive one. Good motivation and you deserved to be successful in every craft your passion will lead into.

I do not know what is happiness, I would guess it is a state of not being displeased by anything. When something is not like I would want, I lose this state becoming unhappy. But as there is always a sense of displeasure and longing for something, is real happiness feasible? I do not have enough experience of life, so I might just be spouting no sense.
But I think happiness is related to the same satisfaction of getting something that was longed for, when you get it, you are momentaily pleased before frustration kicks in with new wants of something better.
