So, to start the thread off, I want something clarified:

If something is thrown so hard at a wall, will the object break or will it go through?
Just to simplify this a bit, the variables would be a concrete wall and maybe a person's head (alive or recently dead doesn't matter)

Scenario: Some guy throws the other person's head to a ceiling with great enough force. Will the head go through the ceiling and leave the body stuck there or will it break the skull entirely? (either way, thrown guy dies anyway)

Yes, we have seen this a lot in animations and some cartoons.

so, explain.

Thats the beauty of animation we can do both. you see because we know that there are objects small that normally would never penetrate the wall but simply crush with great enough force can penetrate the wall. same goes for the scenario given. Under normal Actual real life circumstances a human would die from something like that skull being crushed and falling back to the earth below however because we are animators we can break the one natural law with another FORCE. If we gather enough speed pontentially speaking we can break the wall and not our skulls (look at karate masters when they break concrete blocks with their foreheads). of the example given is a wall so the energy is dispersed which in real life would cause the human to die but lets say the energy were concentrate on the point of impact then it is possible if only in theory to force ones head through a solid wall.

Try it.If you can still live then tell us what really will happen. But if you don't come back alive then.
But seriously,a head would get a broken skull if that happens.Bones aren't as hard as concrete so it would break.
And since most of other animations show that sticks pass through then it's just animated that way for more creativity and fun and to show how much force is applied, since stick figures are solely animated for overpowered shows that surpasses human capacity.

I'm embarrassed that I didn't see it that way XD

Now I ask maybe a bit clearer: "If an exerted force is strong enough (just as an example) to potentially throw a human skull through a concrete wall, this question would be; What would break first, the skull or the wall? Maybe that only depends in how much calcium the person ingests (or something)

The skull would absolutely break first.

Well, that kinda ends this topic. Please don't lock this though, I may still need this at a later time when I can think of more Physics things.

How thick is the concrete? And which part of the skull hits the wall first?

Maybe the topmost part of the skull hits first and the concrete could be 4.5 inches thick.

In that case, I'd be very surprised if the skull didn't give first.

The concrete will crack at the most.
His head will be mangled at the least.

depends on who is throwing the guys head. for example if it was a monstrous inhuman being, the concrete wall would probably be demolished. A regular guy, would probably just demolish that guys skull

The concrete might be pretty smashed up as well if you throw it with enough force, but there's no way the skull is getting out of there in one piece.

This question is solved. Please don't lock this though, I'll still probably need this for later questions.
