Microsoft does provide a good security system for Live but COME ON. I don't think it's worth it. I mean, how long and frequently do people even play online with consoles honestly? PSN is free and is a secure (although many many people may bring up that hacking thing from last year, but it's true now).

In my view PlayStation 3 is better, because PS3 is more powerful than Xbox and it is having more and more features, It allows the free online games to play. It has had a stronger line up of games. So based on this features PS3 is the best for me.

There are some factors of the XBox360 and the PS3.

PS3 gives you a free PSN account and the PS3 is great for RPG, Adventure, and etc. It also gives you the better graphics than XBox 360 and not many 10 year olds infest it.

XBox 360 requires you to buy an XBox LIVE account but gives you a wide array of games like shooting and etc. The downsides are the slight worse graphics than PS3 and the large infestation of 10 year olds on major games such as COD series.

PS3 is better. It's theoretically more powerful and has a much better game lineup. While xbox has almost no good exclusives.

Despite the power difference, games look and play identical on both systems. PS3 has better games and more functionability, 360 is more friendly for online play.

I would still choose PS3 though just by the shear amount fo exclusives. To name a few:

Heavy rain
Beyond
GT 5
MGS 4
FF versus XIII
God of War
Journey
The Last of Us

ect ect. The list just goes on and on. While xbox has what? Halo and gears? Fable is shit now.

For the record I own a 360. I don't own a PS3.

Graphics arn't the ultimate static that define how good a game is, i'm finding it hard to comprehend how people put aside stuff like gameplay and story just over a little eye-candy. Secondly i could guarantee the community on PS3 isn't anymore mature than Xbox. Although don't really see the community as a downside most of the time when there's a mute button.

I know Graphics aren't the main factor of gaming. I'm saying is that PS3 allows more gameplay-wise availability and more wide-open array of gaming world. XBox is all just shoot and fight. That's just something that isn't the big interest to me.

I've owned a 360 for a long time, and what's been the deciding factor for me was the streamlined screens, the ease of use, and especially the way the controllers were designed. Much better than the dualshocks to the point where I've contemplated buying a wired 360 controller to use for non-intensive games like Amnesia or Half-Life
