A lot of people saying "xbox is better at this" have most likely never used a PS3 in their life, and are just going based off of layman speculation. The Xbox 360 is one of the most convoluted pieces of shit when it comes to actually navigating the inner menus of the system trying to figure out what does fucking what. The PS3 is also pretty bad, but I find it's a tiny bit more intuitive with the XMB.

I use my PS3 for netflix, high definition streaming, sometimes music, some single player games, etc... I use XBOX for casual gaming with friends, like call of duty, borderlands, etc. I use PC for hardcore gaming like LoL Battlefield 3 Skyrim, etc... so its really all a matter of preference. PC is best for hardcore gaming, whereas PS3 is better than xbox in that its a better media center, but personally I like gaming on the xbox more than the Ps3.

I'm pretty sure he's referring to the graphics and demand on the computer when he says hardcore.

I prefer a PS3, for the two reasons that have already been said - you can use netflix and the online service is free. The major downside that I've felt is the inability to use Halo, but that's not a big deal, and I really enjoy being able to play Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank. Even if Microsoft's gaming and online experience is slightly better, the package as a whole with PS3 works for me.

I think I fudged that up and said the reverse. I think a hardcore GAMER is someone who plays for extended periods of time. I'd say a hardcore game is entirely subjective, and there are no clear guidelines for what defines a game as hardcore. I'd say Skyrim can be hardcore because it literally takes hours of dedication to fully complete (and even then you're stuck with a bunch of radiant quests so the game is never really done).

People who think a game is hardcore because it's grey and brown, ha blood and violence, or has guns and shooting are fucking stupid. Eat shit.
