you know what you should be doing. try splitting up your animation into parts, so for each scene have a new fla file. then when your done, put them all together and polish it. I tend to do that with my animation that have a huge file size. If you don't like doing that then save your main animation twice in two different locations on your computer so you have a back up. You got like less than 2 months, no need to quit now.

No problem, i see alot of people have this problem as well. Some tend to use a form of autosave. But that still won't aid you when the fla becomes corrupt.

If you deleted it, why don't you just get it from the Recycle Bin?

is it possible to leave this competition at this point but still be able to join the next one?

I'd love to finish an entry for this one however I got an extreme animating block. :/
