I want to make a moon go across the sky in an arc, but I'm not about to do it fbf for a couple hundred frames, and I don't want it to tween across in a straight line

I know there's a way, can anyone tell me how to make something tween across a curve or a path or something?

Just tween it in a curved line.

Let's say from frame 1-50, you tween it diagonally up a bit. That's one direction.
Then frame 50-100, you tween it going more to the right again, still slightly diagonal.
Frame 101-150, tween it going almost straight to the right again.
Frame 151-200, tween it going in a straight line to the right.
Frame 201-250, tween it the same way as 101-150, but reverse everything, as in the direction.
Then on frame 251-300, do the same as 50-100, but opposite.

etc etc. This is simple stuff though..if you don't get it, I'll get images >.>

step 1:

step 2:

step 3:

It should be clear by now..

Well yeah, I could do that, but I meant a way to get an actual curve, not a jaggedy line

You can just do smoother transitions between each direction movement >.>

Here's what to do.

Make a guide layer. Place the tweened object layer under it. On the guide layer, make ONE LINE. It can be curved. Go back to the object layer and snap the object to the starting point and end point of the line. Motion tween it.

And how do I snap it to the starting point, exactly?

Turn on the magnet to snap. Then drag the object over the line until the pivot point snaps along the line.

Ah Dudeman you were faster. I was about to say "what?" "How many years you've been with Flash?" You still don't know the basics, it's called guide line tween. Anyways Dudeman explained it to you. :D

He's obviously been using Flash for a long time, considering his skill in animation.

and what are guids lol??

EDIT: Oh that. I learned that on a tut, the first day I got flash. You draw a line, of some sort. and the object perfectly follows the line if you do steps. ah yeah. I knew how to use it, but I kinda forgot. this might come in handy.
