That's because the attention whores think that it's cool to be depressed. It actually means 'emotional hardcore.' It was a movement parallel to 1990's music.

My parent's made me do a report on them when I made one cry last year.

I like people who don't need to attach a label and prefabricated attitude to themselves to create a nonsensical us-versus-them mentality.

But that's just me, you guys may consider that to be an entirely outlandish concept.

yes, but then that leads to people thinking that depressed people are emos. thus meaning depressed people are falsely identified as emo, which isnt fair.

Very few people who say they're Emo's actually are.

About 90% of Emos are actually "Scene", a group that can be easily confused with Emos.

I AGREE!!!!
I mean, only when something really bad happenes (like death) do we grow sullen and depressed, but then, who wouldnt?
most of the time, me and my friends, all who are emo's, keep away from everyone else (most of which are chavs) and just mess around. we have a right laugh!

but yeah, first sign of a chav, we shrink back into a shadow? reason:
the ****ing retards who believe they can ****ing intimidate anybody who's DIFFERENT cannot truly say they have a life.
this is just the chavs in my school, i am not sure about elsewhere.
