i'm planning on choosing a sword for my rhg character :) but I'm having trouble making the decision. would you help me?

Why not just study them and make your own, unique design?

i have tried that and it failed like billion times and ended up tracing lol.

You don't have to get it perfect on the first try, lol, just practice, starting from something simple is the best way to go, IMO, or you could just make an order at the art shop :3

This. Putting so much detail on the weapons just highlights how little detail there is elsewhere and it looks wrong. You want something more along the lines of:
