Lolz, if the sun's too old and is not too young, I mean if the sun's a billion year old, then it will do a mega super nova which will explode and will cause the earth to explode too.

Our sun is much too small to turn in to a super nova. Only massive stars turn in to super novas.
Ours is estimated to turn in to a red giant in approximately 5 billion years.

We'll almost certainly blow ourselves up way before that though.

What definition of "almost certainly" are you using, because I don't think it's the right one. What makes you think that it is very likely that there will be a point when the human race forces itself into extinction by war?

Because all of recorded human history involves war, we already have the power to annihilate the entire world several times over, and the nations who have this technology also depend on many of the same non-renewable resources that are being consumed at exponential and unsustainable rates.

It's not that crazy of an assumption, aside from nitpicking his choice of words.

Weapon technology is advancing pretty damn fast, because there's ALWAYS going to be a market for it. The more destructive they become, the easier it becomes to fuck everything up.
The more power we obtain, the more responsibility we have and the bigger the risks become.

We have limited resources here on earth. We already have wars over them. Do you seriously think humanity is going to learn to live and let live when we run out of our precious oil? Destruction is much easier than construction. All it takes is one man to destroy what hundreds have built. And war. War never changes.

Lol Fallout.
