I'm voting aye to following the trail because I'd like more clues. I'm voting nay to lynching Ghombeat because in the opening story it said "human curiosity got the better of him".

Honestly I was leaning towards believing Shanto and Cobalt to be the hawks, but if Alpha says they've proved to him they're not then I guess I'll take his word. Although it could be they've offered not to kill him in exchange for his cooperation...

I'm also inclined to think room 101 is a clue. In Orwell it's the room which contains your worst nightmares. We all know I'm fucking terrifying at the best of times but Cook and Cobalt could be hawks. Except Cobalt was ruled out above. Bleah. My votes are cast.

Edit: Wait, it took Shanto 30 minutes to search the roof? He could have found Exilement instantly and used the time to devour him and set a trap for the rest of us. Suddenly I'm more wary about following the trail.

Edit2: Unless Shanto is the eagle and Exilement was a hawk. That would also fit. Let's follow that goddamn trail, boys.

Zed pulls a good point with the quote, "human curiosity". Jutsu said the stories have hints - this must be one of them, yeah?

Also, I'll repeat myself (not the user): I take back my statements about Zed.

I'll have to say nay to lynching Ghombeat, mainly because of Zed's point.

I say aye to following the trail.

Jutsu, did the hawks kill anyone yet?

Also, Exilement hooked up with the inn keeper person before she died. So far, things point to his direction.

Well, if we are going to spare Ghombeat (Which I think is a terrible idea, by the way), Myself is next on the hitlist, as he has nothing which points in the direction of not being a hawk. This is all based on the assumption that Exilement is dead. Vote aye, because this could be the key to the whole puzzle. No matter what happens, we can take out a hawk.

Fine, aye to taking out Myself (THE USER, NOT LYNCHING MYSELF YOU FUCKS), unless someone can convince me otherwise. I personally think Exilement is a Hawk, though.

5 aye
1 nay

You decide to check the garbage lot, you push open the gate and when it bangs shut hundreds of ravens fly off squawking. The rancid smell is quite unpleasant. After some brief investigation you see the trail leads out and into the woods.

You follow the trail of dripped fluid, about twenty feet into the woods reveals strange prints in the mud. Unlike anything you've ever seen before, unidentifiable. Looks about the size of a Kodiak Bear with jutting razor like claws off of each of it's six toes. It must be quite heavy, based on how deep the prints are. Scurrying, the distance between prints is far for a four legged beast so it must have been traveling at extreme speeds. Torn bark and down right huge slashes on the trees along the path, does this thing have six limbs? Or just four? How did it move so fast while clawing the trees? The deeper you go the more the beasts musk becomes potent and the more adrenaline and fear disturb your nerves. A sickening feeling deep in your stomachs, every facet of your instinct is telling you to run, to turn away and not find this unspeakable skittering horror. But your minds insist, it pushes you on like a slave being driven by his master. Deeper in the woods, trees overturned and up rooted, several foot deep trenches in the ground. It looks like there was a battle, the beasts blood all over chipped trunks drying on top of shattered chunks of wood.

There's no sound, all the animals are silent. It feels like the moisture in the air is frozen, like the temperature is freezing, you could swear to god you can feel your breath turning to mist in the wind. A clearing is before you, with a single ray of light coming through the tree cover from above. You can feel your heart beat banging against your rib cage, you can hear your pulse like someone slamming their car door. Unnerving calm in everyone's faces, pupils dilated from the fear. Stepping slowly, afraid, like the ground was made of glass. That's when you hear it, an unsettling noise. "Hrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhh" A deep deathly din, makes you feel like your hair is about to fall out. A cloud of steam from the beasts mouth is visible, the stench so volatile that you all cover your mouths and faces. The muscles in your faces begin to tighten, so tight they begin to spasm. Ghombeat begins to slowly pull a gun out from his coat, and steps forward towards the pit of darkness dug out beneath the large tree behind the ray of light.
A large limb begins to reach out of the darkness into the light towards ghombeat. BANG BANG BANG!.
He fires off three rounds towards the beast.
Adrenaline so heavy, endorphin rush so intense you can see the bullet shells fly through the air in slow motion. The flash from the end of the gun is blinding, everyone begins to jump out of the way. Ghombeat screaming at the top of his lungs, roaring in the face of the beast. Bang!....BANG! You can here the shots in slower intervals, time feels slow. The arm courses through the air and crashes into the ground causing the earth to shake, the shaky ground causes all of you to fall off your feet. The beast releases a fierce some bellow "TRAAAAAAAIIIITTTTOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!" Kicking up a heavy gust of wind and dust, the sound causes your hair to blow back and leafs fly off of trees. You feel like you're going to piss your pants. Ghombeat releases the rest of his ammo at the monster, until his gun goes *click click..click* Tears running down his face, mouth agape in fear, hand trembling and his eyes jumping. The beast is still, the beast is...dead.
The four limbed beast now in the light, reveals a hideous wound across its chest starting at the top and moving to the bottom of its torso, obviously a mortal wound dealt from its battle earlier.

It means, my friends, that Ghombeat is a hawk, as I said. He's a traitor for shooting at his Hawk comrade whom he shares drinks with and goes to all the murderous Hawk clubs with.

BURN THE WITCH.

Oh, and so if Exilement was a hawk... I guess Ghombeat just chose him to kill, either A. Not knowing he was a hawk or B. Trying to remove competition. Maybe I'm not quite clear on the system, but I thought a human was supposed to die, unless we lynched a hawk or an eagle got to him. If an eagle DID get to him, presumably there would also be a regular human victim. So it seems like the only explanation is Exilement was chosen by the hawk to die.

Lets not go too fast. It could be that Exilement is a hawk (and not really dead), and these hawks have to shed their human skin before feeding or some crazy shit like that.

Also, each hawk knows who the other hawk is, so if he really was a hawk, he couldn't have done that by mistake.

Uhhh.
There's no active vote for lynching you. Though if the pressure has gotten to you we can always initiate one.

Haha
