(Edit)
My question was answered, sort of.
I have more questions. Just go to the last post. Since I am very new to animating I am asking as many questions as possible to improve my flash skills. So I thank whoever endures my newcomer questions and answers them.
Pencil Presets?

im sorry bro but i dnt think that u can make such a thing... maybe its just my personal preference but its easier(for me) to do basic motions and add effects or reactions after instead of simultaneously animating both.

Well thanks man, I guess it's for the best anyway. I just am very OCD haha.
Umm but I do have one question.
What is double framing? I saw it in hyuns flash tutorial, but I have no idea what in the world it is.

Double framing is adding an extra frame to a keyframe to make it look smoother
Aug 2, 2012 7:53 AM #709713
I don't think that's possible.
Double Framing?What Stixz said.
Double frame by using f5 at the current frame you want to double frame. But,Too much of double framing makes your animation look choppy. So use double framing wisely,Just do it on some fast parts like an instant movements/attacks.Double framing is also very helpful for fullbody animations.

Awesome, I feel that will be a bit to much for me right now as I am a beginner. I will look into it though later on.
(Sorry another question) So I got flash maybe 36 hours ago and I'm very newbie and I started an animation.
In this animation a character shoots a lightning bolt at a tree. As the lightning bolt shoots I make the part of the tree it hits becomes scorched.
But I have a dilemma. I only know how to make blank keyframes for stickfigures, so I can just do it frame by frame. Now I have to make a scorch mark that goes on a tree and stays there, then for the next frame have more scorch add onto it while the scorch from the previous frame stays as it was. I am very new, and I apologize in advanced for such amateur questions but I don't exactly know where to look to answer these particular question.

Press f6.I don't know what to call it but it let's your previous frame stay and have a new frame where you can draw another thing.
here's a little example.

Another way is copying the previous frame's object and copy it to the next blank frame and draw another object. But the above answer is easier.

Yes! That is perfect. It worked exactly the way I wanted.
Also...What tool do you use to draw the stickfigures? I use the pencil since I saw a tutorial of I think...Geo using it and saying that it was better then brush and line.
But, I cannot stably draw a stickfigure for my life with pencil. What do you reccomend?

I use anything as long as it suits my needs.Experiment on brush and line or pencil to create your own animation style.
If you brush,it's free as a bird but it depends on your drawing capabilities.
But if you use line,It makes your stick smooth but sometimes give stiff movements.

Thanks for the advice, I did experiment the past hours.
I've decided pen is good, but my skills at drawing are not good enough yet for me to use that properly for stickmen.
Line tool is my thing, since I used pivot for seven years. I will use it for the time being.
And I like the brush for blood, effects, water, and etc. I think it's best for that. Anyway I good for questions right now. Thanks a bunch for answering them. Since I started two days ago I was very speratic and I just wanted to do good. I still have some questions but there small and I'll get there answered later. Thanks again!
