I don't believe it's meant as a joke. A lot of times people will make things like that (I can't remember the exact name), as guides.

I think the term is storyboarding, when you create a basic layout of how an animation goes. And as far as an animation goes, taking Slender in a humorous direction would be, to me at least, the best route. The game is already scary, so making a scary animation for a horror game (especially using stick figures, which aren't that terrifying to begin with) is kind of redundant, no? According to the storyboard, it seemed more funny than scary or action-packed.

Lol, you kidder :P. And yeah, this game is pretty fucking scary. The guy who made this is a mad genius. Seriously, how hard could it have been to make? And yet...ogawd. If that crazy bastard makes another game, it'll probably get cult following too.
