Godaddy is currently down almost entirely. This is affecting more than just Fileize and is beyond my control. You can see that it's not just fileize because http://www.fluidanims.com/ http://www.shiftlimits.com/ http://www.double-framed.com/ are all down.

I saw stickpage, a dead site, and a potentially epic site I am not allowed to enter.
I guess they fixed their shit.

Just some updates: The Fileize Flash plugin has hit some bumps but is still on it's way. I've found a way that might allow me to deploy it on Flash 8 as well, so that when it's finally released everyone will have access to it.
If you like Fileize and/or what I'm doing with it, and want to send some money in support, there's now a button at the top of Fileize you can click to support me through Paypal. I'm not really expecting anyone to use it, but I sincerely appreciate it for anyone that does.

If I'm 18 and older with a paypal account, I can surely send you some money for support. ;3; Also, I can't wait for the new refurbished Fileize and the plug-ins and extensions. :D

Fileize now has much shorter links when linking people directly to your file's view page. Using a customized link shortening service I made specifically for Fileize called Filz.us, all uploads that aren't set to private receive a tiny URL so there's no longer need to pass around giant links. The new Filz.us links look something like this: http://filz.us/Z3d whereas before it would be something like http://www.fileize.com/view/857l301f-f0c/.
The benefit of this aside from the obvious is that both URLs are valid, so all your old links will still work fine, and new links can use either or.

Hey Jeff, do you think you can make fileize compatible with .sai extension type files?
Oct 8, 2012 1:31 AM #754048
Maybe, what program is that file type for?

There's always an option that says "No commenting" but I never see a comment system, do you have any intention on making one?

I guess I could. I wouldn't be able to display anything like a regular image, it would just be for storage. You can also already do this by saving it in a zip file.

I'm not sure what you're looking for with the search, it already has quite a few specific options to it. Like, if you only want to search a specific file type you can follow the instructions on the main page to do so.
Also, double-framed is a side project I've been working on that's invite only.

Fileize has always kind of been in a state of beta development. Originally I had intended to include a comments system, but I later axed the idea because I felt it was outside the scope of what I wanted Fileize to be. That is, it's not a portal. I never took out the option due to laziness and in case I ever needed that spot for something. I don't currently have any plans to implement a comments system.

Jeff has the flash plugin been released yet? Because I see stone using it or is he just like a beta tester or something?
Oct 20, 2012 4:06 AM #763738
Stone has a pre-release version. It's very outdated. I haven't released it yet because I found a way to support all versions of Flash, but it requires a custom DLL that I'm in the process of writing.
