Hell it was! Anitude used to be dope, Rockhardanims used to be a green version of non-born-Fluidanims! I miss antiup uploader. Juke was a god.

Oh, how I miss Fluidanims. But now that I'm used to stickpage, it isn't too bad.

I don't understand why people are so upset about having to migrate here from Fluidanims. FA is just a website. It was the community that really mattered, and now the community is here. What is so upsetting about that?

SP is the WORST place EVER. FA 4 LYFE!!

word.

FA, where do I start, I used to do pivots in 6th grade, after keyboarding class we were aloud to play with things on the computer, and she mentioned pivot, I started with it, thinking it was a game at first, and figured out how to use it by the second day! damn i'm fast! (well i mean I had 5 minutes so whatever lol), next day, I finished super early so I could animate, I. WAS. HOOKED. right from the start, I was born an animator, I will die an animator. SO! I got pivot on my CRAPPY red windows vista laptop which was given to us, and when I say crappy, I MEAN IT. I still have it, with all my old anims on it, which I'm gonna move onto my new comp and USB, but anywho, I started to animate the biggest piles of shit ever, and you know what, it was SO GODDAMN FUN. I literally CRIED when I lost a pivot I had been working on, I just progressed from there, then my cousin who also liked to animate on the DS and pivot told me about Stickpage at an italian restaurant (I actually was swimming with him about 10 minutes ago, he still animates and is on this site) so he told me about this place called stickpage, and about this anim called freerun, I thought it was amazing, he said it was done in flash, I thought it could be done in pivot, he tastefully disagreed lmao, so I continued with my pivots, all the way since I started in early early 2010, and just continued for a few months, what can I say I lost track :P and I thought to myself "I should look up stick figure fights on youtube and see how many other people like to animate this!" little did I know what that would lead to. So I found FluidanimsTV (it's getting good amirite?) and saw "Wraz vs Lubby" I thought it was so badasssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss, I couldn't tell who wraz was, or who lubby was, or who animated it, or who came up with the characters, but all I know is I wanted to animate like that, and so It said "VISIT FLUIDANIMS!" so. I. DID. and my mind was FUCKED by amazingness. By this time I got flash and made my first animation, god the first time I opened flash, all these new gadgets and what-not. So I watched ALL the FluidanimsTV videos, there was only 1 at the time lmfao, and it was "Run Tut By Stone" which I promptly watched 16 times, oh how my curious little mind loved to wonder, btw for all of you who remember, this was back when FA was wayyyy different, and they had Insanity's RHG Terantula leaning against the wall, aswell as Stone's RHG Andre leaning up against the other side. I was so pumped, I watched the video on blood tut by stone, and I watched the vid on RHG, and I thought it was amazing, and knew I had to make one (btw, watching that video of how to set it up gives me that exact feeling of how it felt when I first watched it, and I swear I almost cry) I was so happy, so once I saw the RHG video, I went about making an account (FINALLY), I decided to use the name of my dog who had died awhile back, his name was Loopy (Kinda obvious amirite) actually, BEFORE Loopy I was gonna name myself Radish, and I actually did on a little uploading/not really forum site my cousin made, just a small one for anims where you could comment, but I made an account on FA finally, I didn't post at all, just browsed, until the RHG stances came out, then I made my first post (GOTTA LOVE THE NOOB DAYS!) so it was the beginning, I was there for doors 1, 2, and 3, though for doors 1 I just was looking at the forums like everyday at the time, so my account wasn't made, then 4day came along, and I couldn't have been happier, I would love to go more in depth, but that's 2 years of coverage, 2 of possibly the happiest, best years I had ever had, and It was all thanks to FA. I want to become an Animator and Graphics Artist, to me those old 2D pencil and paper animations look fantastic, also I just can't stop watching anime fights lmfao, but that would most DEFINITELY never have happened without FA, I wanted to be an Architect before that, and I wasn't even sure about that, I wasn't passionate about it, I barely even THOUGHT about it, but FA gave me animation, it made me passionate to be an animator, and I have no idea where I would be today without it

So even though it's gone, it's something I'll always keep with me, however old I get, I will never forget Fluidanims, never. It's an experience that I can't believe I got to be apart of. Fluidanims is where it all started, where my animator side was born, where I learned all my animating techniques, where I got in a few retarded debates I always lost. I hate to see it go, but still, It was great while It lasted, I wouldn't give up the experience for the world.

So that's what FA pretty much means to me, and probably most of the community there, I don't mind at all moving here, whatever stone see's fit, I'll follow him wherever he takes the community, of course I love it here, I mean, it's great, FA people are here. I mean, even your here mango :) you remember Swish :) but still, but I can't forget all those good times, It's like moving, you move, and although all your family may be there, you didn't grow up there, and it takes getting used to, I LOVE it here, but FA is my origin, my family, and I loved it, in fact even though it's gone, I will always love the days when it wasn't, I'm not upset, just very, very nostalgic :')

Abso-goddamn-Lutely one of my most cherished experiences.

Fact: Fluidanims was a fantastic community that just reading some of these posts brings tears to my eyes; but i think instead of living in the past, as a community we can move forward, maybe brainstorm ideas to create similarities between the websites, or thinking of ways to bring the community together would be a productive and rewarding experiment we could do. I agree with Mango in the sense that we still all have each other and can always go out from there.

What I've always thought was what Stickpage made up for in popularity, Fluidanims made up for it in skill. The place was so very friendly. The members were amazing, animated well, and the site itself was updating consistently with new portal changes, merch, an rhg section, and many more awesome features.

If you had been a dedicated member at Fluidanims since early 2011 or even before then, you would've felt the love Fluidanims had to offer.

This is generally a summary, since Loopy had already made his point in his great wall of text.

Anyways, FL was great. So was shiftlimits! This is more of a showcase site while fluidanims was more of an indie developers one stop shop for help. :

I'm going to be a massive hipster here and point out that the fact that FA only ever had stickmen on it more or less invalidated any skill the members may have had.
