I think Dark probably hit the nail on the head.
But anyways, this is a horrible way to do it, because the more people he bans the more people make more temporary accounts and then we have a bunch of temporary accounts and then...
You know, bad stuff happens.
I think this was a really bad decision on Zulu's part, for whatever reason, for the reason stated above.

I agree. Newman's hour long ban arrows are tearing this forum apart. The forum's week foundation can't take this kind of abuse as it is.
And making a thread to address this when one was already made (and binned, for that matter) is going to solve the situation before you even think about it!

Besides Newman, I think wise asses are also part of the forum's mess. All they do is go around acting all tough and start shit for no apparent reason. I mean, fuuuuuuck, all they do is go around with sarcastic remarks. What's it do man? I mean, it's definitely not funny if the majority's against it, know what I'm saying?

You guys, there's no way to stop this. Aside from bitter and empty complaints, there's nothing we can do but leave.

Did you guys even take any time to look at how long the infractions lasted for before flying off the handle?
I actually think banning disobedient members for a day is much more useful than just giving them an infraction like we used to do. Because at least they have some time to blow off some steam and think about their actions instead of being around to cause more of a ruckus. Maybe Newman has shed some light on a much better moderating system.
And you do realize this whole "HEY LETS REVOLT AND LEAVE" thing is an empty threat, right? There are still thousands more members to take your place, as well as the multitudes that join the site each day. If you wanna leave, go ahead, but don't be so ****ing dramatic about it and announce your departure.

And Spazz, if it was a one hour ban, it wouldn't be too bad, but as far as I know, no one has been banned for less than a day. Banning 8 members per day isn't normal, especially when none of them did anything excessive that might harm the forum. It's what Newman's doing that's harming the forum.
Gray, go back to darkdemon fag
Edit: I know for a fact that StrunG didn't get any infractions beforehand and neither did Stuff. Vegeta was banned straight up, but I do know Brian C received 1 infraction maybe before being banned?
And if you knuckleheads really do follow this policy of moderating then be my guest. You probably won't have much people sticking around any longer.

There's always the simple, "Let the jackasses have their fun and just ignore them," method.

Anywho.
Spazz, I didn't see anyone flying of the handle. We're just whining.

Stop sucking up you spineless piece of shit, whenever people start to disagree with bullshit choices on the staff you're the first to pick the people with power. Tons of people who hadn't done anything except show their dislike for the bans were banned. StrunG was probably one of the best members here, this is ****ing ridiculous.

By saying "hour long ban" I was making an exaggeration stating the fact that their ban time was so small that it shouldn't be something to bitch about. They'll come back today, no doubt. Chill.
And yes, I personally think it works better than infractioning someone. I mean, honestly, how many times has just sticking an infraction on someone really straightened out the stupid members around here? It's about as useless as the dunce cap was in old timey kindergarten, which is why that isn't even implemented anymore. If you give 'em a taste of what they'll get if they keep acting how their acting, then not only will it guarantee a cease in their havoc being reeked around the forums, but it has more of a chance of straightening out members than infractions does. That's why so many forums out their use this system instead of just warning members like we do. I mean, you gotta remember, being banned from a forum isn't supposed to be the worst thing in the world, but it tell them that if they want to keep coming here, they should at least act halfway decent.

Actually the dunce cap and sitting in the corner thing isn't used anymore because it might "traumatize" the child.
I also like how you're ignoring the whole point of the complaints.
Good job!

Um, since when is this true, might I ask?
Now will you stop taking what i said out of context? I never said the reason Newman banned them was right, but I did say that banning was a much better punishment system than infractioning. If you're going to bitch, at least read what you're bitching about.
Honestly, stop being so fucking dramatic about this, guys. If this is bothering you so much, just get up and leave like a halfway decent person would be. if you're really so attached to this place that this is such a big issue to you, then maybe what the throngs of noobs that explore this site think about us is true.

Read my response to Jeremy's lament. If you could read, by any chance, I never said Newman's reasoning was something to be commended. I said his methods were. In layman's terms, banning trouble-makers > infractioning trouble makers. If you look in the Newman thread last night, you will see that I combated Newman about banning Stung for no reason. Go bitch more, why don't you.
