So, let me hear you people bash pot. I want to see how much you know.
No documents of death or cancer from marijuana
Not physically addictive. No matter what your mommy or preacher tells you.
THC is a bronchial dilator, which means it works like a cough drop and opens up your lungs, which aids clearance of smoke and dirt. Nicotine does just the opposite; it makes your lungs bunch up and makes it harder to cough anything up.
Pot relaxes you, and in some cases, that is good for you well being.
Marijuana contains very little LD-50, and is impossible to truthfully OD on.
Pot.

Depends. If you a chain smoker, and tend to smoke a lot, then yes. Most likely.
Also, I've noticed this recently. Marijuana does seem to have long-term effects. Defiantly not negative though. Recently, when walking around outside, the world seems brighter, and more alive. Sounds gay I know, but if you saw it you would understand. And sometimes, things seems unreal. Like 10 minutes ago, I could tell if my dog was inside the pen or behind it.

I've never smoked any. I've thought of it, but nah. I've even been told by family members that i should smoke it just to chill me out.

I don't really have anything against pot. But it's normal to mix up tobacco and weed when rolling a joint, so that way it can be kind of addictive, just that you're really addicted to the tobacco, not the pot.
Good stuff can sort of be addictive in itself though. Like people can be addicted to chocolate, for the simple fact that they enjoy it very much and gets grumpy without.
It can also have an effect on your brain. Also, inhaling smoke in itself is bad.

Effects on brain? Short Term yes. Nothing serious. Like the next day, if your not busy or moving around, or exposed to a bright light (From personal experiences), a sort of sluggish after-high kicks in. And, I've never mixed tobacco with it. Tobacco bores me. I used to snuff, but thats old. Was younger and stupid. Gave a good buzz for the first few times, then nothing.

I have nothing against pot. As far as I see, it's a natural plant growing without any help from humans. It's there already, why not use it? I have never heard of anyone getting hurt or killed from it ,nor have never used it, but I don't bash people who do. The only reason people are breanwashed into thinking it's bad is because the government doesn't want dealers making money from it.

Long term too. Not very serious ones, but in can effect your attention and memory if you smoke regularly.
Just that it's natural is not a good reason to use it. Lots of dangerous things are natural. And I have almost experienced death because of it. Not very long ago. A friend of mine had smoked and was standing on a railway holding a speech, the train came but he didn't notice it. We had to run up and drag him down from there. It was close, and I don't doubt that accidents have happened because of it.
Quote from wikipedia]In July 2007, British medical journal The Lancet published a study that indicates that cannabis users have, on average, a 41% greater risk of developing psychosis than non-users. The risk was most pronounced in cases with an existing risk of psychotic disorder, and was said to grow up to 200% for the most-frequent users.[/quote]

Government bans pot because they think it'll detract from peoples' daily lives regardless of whether it's bad for you or not. In other words, it's only the drug abusers which makes drugs seem bad. I heard they're unbanning pot in Australia. That means I might soon eat cookies and smoke joints legally. Pot leads to terrorism.

I honestly have no idea, but from what I can work out, if you become addicted to it, it is mental, which is a lot harder to break, as you actually change the chemicals in you brain.

I don't know much about it, but I'd love to see this debate continue. Perhaps some opposition?

Honestly I don't have any problem with pot itself, although I don't know enough about negative effects since there has been some debate over whether it affects you negatively or not.
The only problem I have is when it is smoked, still generally unhealthy.
At least pot has a defined benefit to it, resulting in a much more fun time and possibly a more open mind.
As long as you aren't so addicted that it ****s with your life, it's all good.

Fun story, that is true: A guy I used to know used to get an F in art class all the fucking time. So he decided to go and smoke some Mary Jane before class every time. He always got B's then. This is true.
I don't see much trouble with pot. I've yet to try it, but I wouldn't want to take a fuckton of it. Just like... tobacco, spiced up with a little hint of pot. Just enough to chill the fuck out of you but not let you go all mental... like that art class guy.

Marijauna effects all people different, Schall.
Some people are always chill, others are tripping.
Marijuana really really helps relieve stress for me, and I don't smoke it as often as I'd like, which makes smoking it (when I get the chance) a special occasion.
It's fun, and doesn't have many negative side effects that I'm worried about.
I know what it does, and what it doesn't, and that's good enough for me.
