"Dog Race" is a new project that came up into my mind after having come to know some competitions on DeviantArt, even though I made it a little different from those
Basically it is a OCT (Original Character Tournament) and, as such, it already has some pre-determined rules I'm now gonna explain
About
This is a team (or solo) competition
The objective of this competition is to win all the rounds
Starting
To registrate, you must post, when I'll say it (not now)
-Your partecipant name(s)
-Your team name
-Your three characters
-Your entry
After this, you'll be judged if you can enter the competition or not
But let's explain some things first
1---Partecipants
In this competition are allowed groups of at least 3 people, but also groups of one person
But don't worry: the number of people partecipating doesn't help in the fights or, at least, not how you guys think
In fact, everytime you compete against someone, if you are two or three people in a group, you choose one of you and he's gonna make the work ALONE (no helping)
I made this so that if someone can't work now but later he can he has the possibility to work in a second time
BUT BE CAREFUL!
Cause everyone in your group must make a work
Example
-you made the first work
-your companion substituted the other one and made the second work
-the last one must necessarly make a work, otherwise you'll be disqualified

2---Team
About the team name, it can be almost anything (obviusly it musn't be a bullshit)
You are free to use your clan name, if you want
3---Characters
Even if you are alone, your team must have 3 characters
If you are alone, you create the three of them by yourself
If you are with more people, you can create one each other or something like that
RHGs can be used, but remember

Everything can be accepted (weapons, magic, supernatural, ecc.), but it will be checked to see if it is fair
Before I forget, you must write Name, Age, Weapons, Abilities, Weaknesses, Personality and Story

The entry is a work which shows the entrance of your characters in the competition
Every entry must at least show these features:
-who they are
-why are they there
-how do they come across the race
-how/why they make a team
-why they join

Work
In the competition are allowed different art styles
They are Animating, Comic making and Literature making
This means that this competition is open to everyone, even to those of the literature section
Plot Lines
About the story, it is rather interactive and dynamic
The most important thing is that the winner keeps the story he made and the loser must follow the winner's canon
But since this is a difficult matter, you must read it on the links I putted up
SE
An SE (Spectator Entry) is a work in which your character can interact with other characters without actually fighting them
SEs are just for fun, and while they serve to further your character's storyline, they don't have any impact on how your actual battles are judged
You can continue to make SEs even after you've been eliminated from the tournament
Support Character
After you win against someone, you can use, if you want, your opponent's characters as support ones
A support character can help you in future rounds, but his help is limited, since it must always revolve around your characters

On the 19 October, an enormous tsunami, with its center in the Atlantic Ocean, submerged many nations in its range: Eastern Europe and Central America were gone, as well as a part of Africa and half of the North and South America
Because of this catastrophe, global economy collapsed and the coming of a new world war was near...
When everything seemed lost, the two main global powers of the world, Russia and China, took advantage of the situation and thus the world was splitted in two factions:
-the N.R.G.O. (New Russian Global Order), under which faction were the eastern half of Africa and both the America nations
-the C.C.U. (Chinese Comunist Union), under which faction were the western half of Africa, Asia and Australia nations
With the new global order everyone thought that at least the economic crisis would have be gone
But the effects of the catastrophe weren't still off

In the 2014 began the age of magic: misteriuosly, some people in the world started manifesting strange powers or showed powered capabilities
On the 14 March, it was finally revealed to the public opinion the reason behind the tsunami who destroyed many nations and the magic around the world
Through satellites' pictures, it was discovered what caused the catastrophe: in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean rised a new continent, as big as the U.S.A., which, by emerging, generated the wave
It was named "Purgatory", since in the "Divine Comedy" Dante wrote that in that ocean there was the famous mountain
All the nations' governments knew about the island, but they were unable to occupy it, since they didn't have the resources anymore
The only ones that accomplished this were Russia and China which, after having tried to get the island only by themselves, decided in the end to split it in two parts:
-Eastern Purgatory, of China
-Western Purgatoy, of Russia
The reason of such interest in it was about a rainbow colored mineral discovered right on the island that showed paranormal capabilites, the “God Stone”: when the island rised, the mineral extended its influence and affected part of humanity, modifying their DNA code
Because of the power of the God Stones, a new migratory wave started: because of this, the entire island was colonized in only one year
The rise of Purgatory, however, meant the downfall of half the world: many power users, called “Chosen”, started rampaging everywhere, destroying and ruining everything. Only Russia and China remained unscated, since they got their hands on it before

Even though the matter between China and Russia seemed to be solved, war was still fought, because of the capital of Purgatory, "New Center" (NC)(population=5 millions)
NC was where the biggest amount of “God Stone” could be found and also a state metropoly
It was divided in three zones:
-"Hell", the poorest and most populated one (60%)
-"Mid", the well-off one (30%)
-"Paradise", the richest one (20%)
The capital was under the control of Tyler Venge, a Chosen with the power of telekinesis
Thanks to his power, he forced China and Russia to step back from claiming the center of the island and became the ruler of New Center
Immigrants still came here, hoping to find their fortune, but they come across not only the great difference between poors and riches, but also the repressive police of the city and the secret war caused by russians and chineses

He didn’t want to announce his imminent death: it would have surely caused caos. But he didn’t know who could succed him
Then he got an idea: an underground team race competition to get the three best candidates to his place
As a prize, he putted an enormous God Stone
But China and Russian agents get to know about the tournament and they are ready to manipulate the outcome
And this is where you come....
Now he had everything, but also nothing: his power consumed him and he is about to die
He didn’t want to announce his imminent death: it would have surely caused caos. But he didn’t know who could succed him

Race Rules
-The race will take place in all New Center
-All the racers will be given a bracelet to wear (once weared, it can't be removed and it's indestructable): you can take it off only if you lose the race
-This bracelet gives the racer position to a computer, as well as monitoring their surroundings through magic
-A race can start anytime and, since the computer knows where the racers are, the end line will always be at the same distance between the two competing teams
-Violence beetween racers (even death) is allowed, but only during races: if a competitor tries to hurt another one outside the race, the bracelet will temporarily paralize the competitor committing violence
-The bracelets will ring as the race starts and they will show where the end line is
-There are only two ways to win:
--when one member of the team arrives at the end line, no matter about where the others are
--when the other team doesn't have any more members because they died
-Everytime a race starts, the police is mobilized with the order to capture or kill (it depends about the characters' behaviour in the story) all those wearing the bracelets
-When the police is mobilized, they can access the computer's info about racers' position (not the end line)
-Depending on characters' behaviour and story, Russian and Chinese factions can interfere with the race trying to help you or to kill you (not exactly a rule, but whatever)
Underlined parts mean that they are being kept secret to the characters (they can find out about them during the competition or also not: your choice)
