I found out about sticks because of the eztoon gifs that were popular back then. I became very impressed and intrigued, but I never got to know anything about it. Some time later, I've already forgotten about the anim, but I somehow kept that intrigue.
I started googling some stick games. I got to stickgames.com. I enjoyed all of the games, so I looked up how to make stick games. Being the 12 year old I am, I saw it was too tedious and just forgot about it. But while I was playing stick games, I noticed the number of content coming from stickpage.
I went here, and played all the games. I didn't bother watching animations. I thought it was boring watching sticks. I eventually played all the games, so I decided I'd give animation a shot. I watched "Slush Invaders". I was like, "meh", but I decided to watch some other stuff. I eventually got into it.
I googled on "how to animate stickfigures" and found out about pivot. I played with it for like, a year or something. I was also going to YouTube for tutorials. I eventually grew tired of it, and wondered how they made the sick sticks bend. I found out about flash, and FA. I joined, then enjoyed my stay. Knew about Stone, terkoiz, Jomm, Endo and all the good people. I still went to stickpage btw, but never went to the forums.
Then I saw a convo saying how stickpage forum sucks. I went here and looked at it. It wasn't that bad. I made an account and made my intro thread. I was welcomed warmly. I eventually lurked here, and enjoyed it more than going to FA. I just kept on lurking, and laughing at how you guys' shit on each other. I never posted much tho. I also knew about outworld. I lurked there. Then the hacking came. I stood back and watched how everything unfolded. Well that anonymous guy eventually spammed the forum with Jeremy's porn picture.
I went to outworld and posted a little and got owned by Nish.
Well FA and SP merged and everything became boring after that.
tldr knew about sticks, got to sp, lurked a bit, enjoyed a lot, hacking happened, then merge, then everything became boring.
