You need to make sure your statue doesn't lose its health.

I just played doomandgloom - the game went to the screen showing a preview of the map (greenhills) then froze for a while and went to 'opponent timed out' as if he hadnt selected an empire - I dont think thats a hack? so it may be a bug.

It used to be that the other person would just close the tab right there, and you'd suffer a loss. The "opponent timed out" was a patch that fixed this exploit.

i recently played and my friend showed me an unstoppable strategy, i realized that this was a bug, if they get tower spawn numero 2 and a fully upgraded giant comes out, and your miner starts building a wall while the giant is hitting it, and breaks it, it just keeps doing the animation as if it was hitting an invisible wall, and you can merely run past it, and it doesn't even hit you. please fix this, plus goku why do you never talk to me when i talk to you?

Yeah, you get all the exploiters for some reason. Bad luck, I guess...

I have never faced an exploiter. Sure, some people TRIED to exploit on me, but it didn't freeze. Thank you, MacBook.

Your operating system has nothing to do with it... Chances are you're lucky and the exploiter sucked at exploiting.

True... not true. An exploiter, 5 actually, told me they were going to hack and I couldn't win. Then, after 15 sec, they were like, wtf?

Hm, interesting. Maybe that might give some hints as to what causes the exploit if it's Windows-specific.

Is the exploiting on the Pause button? Is there any other way?

I had exactly the same thing happen again with the same guy (doomnadgloom) - after seveeral hundred seconds of waiting for a game, its a bit annoying to lock up on the preview screen and go back to lobby.
At least I didnt get a loss :)
