Ping test doesn't tell you how much bandwidth you can cope with.

This is why you should use speedtest.net

If your ping is really low, but your bandwidth is tiny then you have a good connection to anything so long as you're not trying to use your internet very much. If you go on netflix with a tiny bandwidth you won't be able to watch films easily and your ping will become bad. This is a typical household problem where your ping is good but then someone eats up 2/3rds of the total bandwidth downloading a film and suddenly what's left for you can't handle SE.

If you have a huge bandwidth but your ping is terrible you can probably use netflix to download 3 films at once but nothing will respond quickly on a game no matter what, because your ping is terrible. This may be the case for satellite internet sometime in the future.

Edit: seems the V thing was just that 1 clone was out of sight

@skele okey, but isn't it still partly a se problem?

Apparently you can have negative mana as Elementals; separate your earths, water, air, and fire, command to make a V, and then quickly research anything of your choice to have less than 100 mana, but the units will still combine anyways, giving you -xx mana. Having negative mana also prevents you from making units requiring only gold :L

It's not at all SE's problem when your connection is getting bad at occasional times.
