hello, I don't know if I should be asking this since its in alpha, but I cannot access the thread for how to play and I dont know how to collect mana? any help?

I can't login either...
i can go to the site with the email that I got, but once I go to the forum, it says I don't have permission...
So can someone please help me with this? The email says that I can play it now but I can't seem to figure it out...

I am having trouble with this as well, its kinda hard to give feedback if I can't visit the page! I see this forum login password, but the message probably should have told us where and how to use it as well.

I have the same problem,It invited me to play,then u have no access to this forum

i have the same deal, but you could collect mana by making a miner pray at the statue by right clicking the statue

Even moderators don't have permissions to follow the link, apparently.

None of the guys who developed the game ever come on the forums so you're unlikely to get an answer. Sorry, guys.

Ahh whatever, the alpha's over anyways. I just found it ironic that they wanted feedback, and yet they weren't able to receive much because of this.

I notice there's a usergroup called Beta Testers (and someone forgot to uncheck the "add group to Forum Leaders page" box when they were making it) so it could be that only those guys have permissions to see the section of the forums which these Alpha Test threads are in.

Tip, alpha is still not down, go to stickempires.com/main to continue playing, cheers ^_^

There is no thread on this site for how to play but there is a Stick Empires/Stick War 2 guide on how to play posted on the development blog. Also recently posted on the dev. blog is a link to the Stick Empires abilities video which features a preview of S.E. gameplay & shows all & every ability from each unit. However almost everyone can't play S.E. I assume only the selected can be Alpha testing now.....

Here's what I know:

1. The developers never officially announced when Alpha testing started because we don't need to know.

2. I started assuming that Alpha testing was going on when I watched the Chaos empire preview video on youtube(the link to this video was most recently posted on the dev. blog). This video featured gameplay of S.E. through Crazy Jay(as chaos) vs. TheSaw(as order). They had to be Alpha testing to make that video plus TheSaw isn't a developer of this game.

3. They're Alpha testing which means only the elite people can test & play S.E. This includes the developers of this game & the administrators of stickpage(I assume probably Jeff & stone are Alpha testing too); & like Zed said even moderators don't have permission to enter Alpha testing of S.E......

Here's the answer:

Obviously common people like almost everyone can't Alpha test which is why TheSaw created the thread Stick Empires Pre Registration for Beta testing. Beta testing is for everyone as long as they register at http://www.stickempires.com/ but the testing hasn't started yet. TheSaw did announce that you(plural) will be informed when Beta testing starts which hasn't happened yet.....

I've noticed that usergroup too & I believe those Beta Testers have nothing to do with Alpha/Beta testing S.E. because Alpha testers are the elite & they aren't all the elite, & Beta testers for S.E.(as a usergroup) I would think that they would post in the S.E. Pre Registration thread saying that they registered, but not all of them posted in that thread. Also I don't believe that there are hidden Alpha Test threads in the SP forums. The actual S.E. Alpha testers have other ways of communicating. But yeah, Idk the purpose of this Beta Testers usergroup & Idk what they Beta Test. I guess you could always private message a member from that group & ask why that group exists.

^good information, except none of our questions were about how we aren't able to play, we did play it.

The thing we were confused about is that we got an email to play the alpha test since we had been among the first to sign up, and in that email they had included links to guide threads and a feedback thread, and yet none of us could access them. Since only the multiplayer is working, we had to use our knowledge from the last game and try to figure out the new stuff through trial-and-error as we played. It just seemed for naught since we were unable to give feedback about our play experience :/

I alpha tested stick empires, and you needed to be given special permissikns to view the sub forum about it. If you werent on irc when stone took down the list of names you didnt get these

Can any of the other Testers play?
cus i can't says theres 22 players but i can't play?
Does everyone have this?
And yes I got the email.

I think this answers most of the problems:The alpha will only be open for a short period of time from 3pm central time until 7pm central time.
So I guess we wait until the Beta testing, or the game comes out. :)
