The sword is also a beam saw, the saw activates once the sword's tip comes into contact with friction, simply by slashing the tip onto the ground or a solid wall. It can also be used as a transport. If you don't get it, don't worry, I'm gonna make a demo of this soon.

CnC, especially Shen :D

The first issue is the gears, they seem to be just stuck onto the sword other than being any mechanical component, being too big, especially how the one on the right is more of an oval shape, a standard gear is generally round.
The shin on the blade is pretty strong, like a very powerful light is placed directly in front of it.
The arch along the handle (sorry, forgot what they're called...if they have a name, that is...) seems kind of out-of-place in my opinion.
Also, I do recommend not using filters on weapons, like blur and glow, especially on certain parts of the weapon, when too small, they won't show up, and weapons are generally made small, so, you get the idea.

But I do like the idea, but it's just not pulled off that greatly. (no offence intended)

Well, the gears are actually just stuck there, and do not contribute the mechanisms anyway, I agree with the handle arch, I never seem to be able to pull that off.

About the idea not being executed well, how should do you think I should execute it?

if the gears are just there for aesthetic at least make them look good.
right now they just look out of place and odd.
and as for execution, It doesn't look like it has anything to do with friction or anything of he sort.
someone better at weapon making can explain that better I guess
the gradients are off in most places, making it look odd and filters never really have any place on weapons.
it just serves to make the weapon look odd, unless its some kind of futuristic weapon type deal, but that's not exactly what this is entirely

Some of the parts seem too white so it's tough to see what kinda shape it has, so maybe try making it a bit darker using some burn tool or something?

Everyone else beat me to it lol.
I'd be willing to give like....some very in-depth CnC if you'd like. But it'd have to be like over join.me or somehting of the sort.

I'm trying, but I'm learning how to code stuff first.
